My toddler love this colorful playground. Although she’s too young to climb up and go down the slide, she loves to walk around the colorful turf area. They also have a very low swing that younger kids can ride on. It’s also fun to go up and down the hill on the colorful turf. The playground is new and clean. The bathroom is also big, nice and clean. It’s rare to find a soft toilet paper in a public place like this. I didn’t see any special parking in the area but the street parking is available right by the playground. Overall, this is a great playground to be. We enjoy playing here and then strolling around the totem lake area to eat or shop afterwards.

A very unique park, someone put a lot of love into this one. Definitely geared toward an older/more adventurous crowd. The only way to reach many of the cool features is to climb in one way or another. For my cautious kiddo, this means he's not able to access the elevator, slides, watch towers, etc. Also not a fan of the plastic floor material that gets slippery when wet, or the fact that there's no shade at all for relief on sunny days. Nice bathrooms, though, and within walking distance of the new Totem Lake complex including restaurants, ice cream, and a movie theater, plus good parking access, meaning you could really spend all day visiting here.

This park shouldn’t be open yet. Parking is terrible - there are a few street spots and the parking garage across the street is still under construction so you’ll have to dodge construction debris and equipment to use it. The playground equipment is fun for older kids but everything so close together you’ll feel like you’re always bumping into someone else. There is zero shade or cover.

Overall it’s a very poor use of space. There are so many better parks in Kirkland - houghton beach park, Peter Kirk to name two - so it’s probably a waste of your time to visit this one.

Maybe in a few years when construction is done, they solve the spacing issues, the plants have grown, and the parking is better this park will...

The small, colorful park is great fun for children older than three or four. For younger children there really is not much to do -- besides spinning in the one fun, colorful seat. Even rolling down the hill needs care so a 2+ year-old doesn't hit the cement sidewalk. The rope nets can be frustrating and dangerous if a care provider is not able to walk directly under them. It would be a HUGE improvement to have several interesting structures (a slide?), bouncy animals, swings, etc. that are appropriate for younger children. We'll come back when she's older! And from a different perspective, none of the slides have steps, so that individuals with disabilities could more...
