This park shouldn’t be open yet. Parking is terrible - there are a few street spots and the parking garage across the street is still under construction so you’ll have to dodge construction debris and equipment to use it. The playground equipment is fun for older kids but everything so close together you’ll feel like you’re always bumping into someone else. There is zero shade or cover.
Overall it’s a very poor use of space. There are so many better parks in Kirkland - houghton beach park, Peter Kirk to name two - so it’s probably a waste of your time to visit this one.
Maybe in a few years when construction is done, they solve the spacing issues, the plants have grown, and the parking is better this park will...

Read moreMy toddler love this colorful playground. Although she’s too young to climb up and go down the slide, she loves to walk around the colorful turf area. They also have a very low swing that younger kids can ride on. It’s also fun to go up and down the hill on the colorful turf. The playground is new and clean. The bathroom is also big, nice and clean. It’s rare to find a soft toilet paper in a public place like this.
I didn’t see any special parking in the area but the street parking is available right by the playground. Overall, this is a great playground to be. We enjoy playing here and then strolling around the totem lake area to eat or...
