THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! 0 Stars!
My mom booked a pet friendly room so that I could be there with her to help her recover from surgery. First of all they didn't have a handicap accessible pet friendly room. We arrived the day before her surgery to find that we have to walk down a flight of stairs (they have no elevator) to get to our room which has a toilet that looks like it should be in a preschool. Neither of these will work for post surgery. My mother's surgery had some complications so she had to stay in the hospital the second night. I cancelled the third night and choose to take her home (90 miles away) the next day instead of coming to this terrible setup.
After one of the most stressful days of my life I came back to this hotel to get some rest. While I was eating dinner a light bulb in the hotel room EXPLODED and CAUGHT FIRE for a good minute. The smoke detector less than six inches from the light did not make a peep despite the cloud of smoke that came out of the light fixture. My room was filled with a very toxic odor so I went to the front desk, explained what happened and that I was now feeling sick from the fumes and said that I really would just like to check out and go home. They offered me a new room which I declined. After the stress of the day and the headache/chest pain from the fumes I wanted my own bed. They said their system would not check me out, I would have to come back the next day just to check out. After 10 minutes arguing with this lady I said fine, I would be out of the room in 10 minutes and she told me to leave my keys in the room. Fine. I went home with a headache and chest pains from the fumes.
I come back the next day and the new lady at the desk says that I have to pay the full price of the room, the best they will offer me is a refund on the pet fee since I was in the room until about nine pm. OF COURSE I WAS IN THE ROOM! I THOUGHT I WOULD BE SAFE BUT I WAS NOT! She kept arguing that they had offered me another room and I hadn't returned the keys to the desk so they thought I was still in the room. She also kept arguing that when she went into the room while making me wait in the lobby she only smelled cleaning supplies. OF COURSE it had been more then 12 hours with the window open and the maids had cleaned the damn room already! She said that she couldn't do anything else. She had no compassion and kept talking over me and arguing with me.
Summary: We paid over $250 for a sub par room that caught fire, made me sick and added a whole new level of stress to an already stressful week. NOT COMFORTING AT ALL. I will never be staying with Comfort Inn again and will be advising EVERYONE I know to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWell For starters, lastnight the guy at the counter with the glasses tried to charge my wife's card 3 times for 2 different rooms, we only wanted 1 room with 2 beds in which he told us there were non avalible. Then he charged us for 2 bed rooms both one bed. He tried to charge us $125 per room per night. We said we will only do tonight and check for avaliblitly of other rooms in the morning. In the morning the woman at the counter said there was a room avalible last night and she had no idea why the guy didn't give us the room and she said she had no idea why he would charge us 3 times for the 2 rooms we stayed in on the first night. She was nice enough to refund the DOUBLE Overcharge so that's the only reason why I'm giving 2 stars for service...both rooms reeked of cigarettes even tho they were "NO SMOKING" Rooms they absolutely stunk. When we proceeded to get the 2 bed bedroom the next day it was located downstairs...we all went downstairs to witch the entire place reeked of marijuana smoke and I have been 11 days clean from marijuana so this really pissed me off. We get into our room an I go to look out our window and the window on the inside IS absolutely COVERED IN ANTSš. Somthing Is Very Very Fishy and off about this place from every room reeking like cigarettes to the weed smell that took over the entire floor. The breakfast options were extremely slim and the TV in our room was only halfway lit up so we couldn't even watch TV. Oh yeah also on the second day when we got our room downstairs the nice lady only charged us $98 for the 2 beds one room and that makes me question why the guy at the counter charged us $125 for one bed 1 room. We ended up paying $250 for the two rooms the first night and only $98 for the 2 beds one room that the guy told us "WASNT AVALIBLE" when clearly it was because my wife was able to get it from the lady at 8am in the morning. We will never bring our buisness back here and I really really urge EVERYBODY els to search for another place especially if you are sensitive to cigarette and marijuana smells and if you don't want ants to crawl around inside your food while you sleep. This place is disgusting and it feels like they only clean and do the beds and towels and ignore the rest. We got cold so I went to turn the heat on and it made the whole room reek like cigarettes and im just over it and cannot...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe stayed on Oct 5-6 and upon arrival, front desk clerk was wonderful! She was informative and friendly. Really had us excited for stay. But things went down hill over the next 18 hrs. The room was ok. Good size. But I immediately noticed the beds were not Queen size as I had chosen. They were double. I was a tad nervous about the condition of the beds. Clerk said they had been replaced back in March of this year but they were sagging in the center and I was concerned how old they really were. But sheets and blankets were clean and bed was really comfy. Carpets were damp, so we kept our shoes on until bed. Later we needed a knife for our food and returned to front desk. There was a new desk attendant, male, who wasn't really helpful. Or too friendly. Lazy is the appropriate word. He actually looked annoyed we were bothering him at 8 at night. We never got a knife. Next morning, we went to down to check out what the original desk attendant said was their "award winning breakfast". It was basic. Subpar. Eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal and some muffins and bread. I did notice on the ceiling above the waffle station, globs of dusty cobwebs hanging and literally blowing slightly from the central air vent, ready to fall. I didn't eat any waffles. But low and behold, a whole container of KNIVES. I asked new desk clerk if plastic utensils were accessabIe other hours of the day. She said yes. If we needed anything like plates or silverware, the desk clerk just needed to unlock the kitchen and get one. I was ready to go by this point. As we got to our car, the worst was awaiting us. Our car, plus five others, were broken into!!! My passenger window was shattered. Nothing was taken as we didn't have anything but bottled waters and sunglasses in the car. Apparently the police were already called and a business card with a case number was in our driver side window. Manager did nothing! She just said sorry and went on her way. I will never stay in this neighborhood again or this hotel. Manager could have offered an extended stay while we figured out how to fix our window as we had a long drive home. But no ...we sat in the lobby until we could figure out what to do ON A SUNDAY. So we booked a Marriott in Bellevue, who were VERY accommodating. When we told our story, they offered us a free drink at their bar, and $20 in snacks from their...
