Listen…….I am Puerto Rican but I tasted Indian food for the first time fifteen years ago and fell in love. So much so that I learned to cook it myself. When I say that this restaurant is a ten, please believe it! I have eaten so much Chana Masala, Palak Paneer, Saag Paneer, Tikka Masala etc that I know when I walk into a restaurant whether the cooking is good or not. Some Indian restaurants change their recipes because American people sometimes cannot take the strength of the spices but I say if you cannot, then don’t eat it at all. This restaurant made me feel like I walked into the home of an Indian friend. It smelled wonderful!!!!!! We were welcomed very kindly and we were served with great respect. I ordered the Saag Paneer the hottest available, Chana Masala hottest available and a lot of garlic naan. My husband ordered the Lamb Tikka Masala. We also had a Mango Lassi because my husband is not used to food as spicy as me LOL. The food was fresh and delicious!!! The naan was handmade and fresh full of flavor! The paneer was so soft and fresh!! I enjoyed the food so much we ordered a bit more. Our waiter was Stephen and he was so sweet!!! He was very kind and thoughtful and helped my husband make a decision what to order. He checked on us a few times to see if we needed anything more and he served our food with care. These are the things to me that make a wonderful business. They were all very kind with a humble spirit and smiled at us a lot. The food was all fresh and wonderful. The atmosphere was small but wonderfully cultural and extremely clean. We will be regular customers from now on thank you guys so much!!!

Read moreMy sister and her family took a week trip to Disney recently, so I came and joined them. My sister and I stole away to have lunch, and I wanted to show her Indian food. She had never had it before, can you believe that? So I did a quick search, found Amber, and off we went.
The ambiance was pretty ok. It's in the middle of a strip mall. But inside is classic mom 'n' pop Indian place. Desi music, that pungent smell in the air of magnificent spices, everything you need. Service was also great. The guy was very friendly, made good conversation, and the food came out very timely. No issues there.
As for the food, I ordered what I thought would be best for an Indian newbie. Some veggie samosas, the butter chicken, a shrimp biryani, and a garlic butter naan. Everything was pretty standard.
Nice crisp samosas with a piping hot filling, creamy butter chicken, the quality of the chicken itself was a little questionable, but the curry more than makes up for that, very fragrant and flavorful perfect biryani, I always recommend a biryani, and a delicious warm, crispy naan to eat everything with. What a feast.
Overall, if you're looking for basic Indian food and are willing to pay Kissimmee prices, you can't go wrong with Amber....
Read moreA hole in the wall or hidden gem type of spot where you might not really notice it, but the food is outstanding. I ordered the chicken curry and the gobi aloo, which were both so good! The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the spice level was just what I asked for. The chicken was extremely tender, and the cauliflower and potatoes were both cooked to perfection. Can’t tell you how many times I get potatoes that are still hard in the middle or barely any potato at all. Their gobi aloo had plenty of both. I ordered the rose milk, which was so yummy and went perfectly with my food.
I have been eating Indian food for 30 years all over the world—LA, San Francisco (where I am from), London, Australia…this is some of the very best Indian food, certainly within the US. As a side note I greatly prefer rose milk over lassi, the latter is too filling for me.
Service was very pleasant, attentive and polite. I absolutely love this place and wish it was in my town. I will definitely return if I ever get down to Disney again. I have family heading to Orlando for a vacation, and they are going to eat at this place since I highly...
