EXPOSITION. I went in personally for the first time ever as a favor for my brother who had to go in to work and couldn't make time to get himself something to eat. Once I arrive, I immediately find that it's nice and quiet, there's a lovely display of cakes and pretty pictures of their products. It's a bit cramped but with no one really present there aside from a couple of folks, it should mean a smooth, attentive experience as one of said few customers there. I was greeted nicely and was attended to as per normal. I expressed that I was pressed for time BUT explicitly asked that they still prioritize quality as I know all too well how rushed fast food usually winds up going. I ordered two combo meals, one of them being the A1 burger with the barbeque sauce and the onion rings in the sandwich.
FLAWED ORDER. Not even two or three minutes pass and I had already received my order. Taking it, I walk out the door and walk away originally pleased with the service. Pressed for time and with unsanitized hands, I dare not check my order until I arrive home. Once there, we check the food out only to realize that not only did we not get the A1 burger as it properly should have come: (With barbeque and fried onion rings) but said sandwich was also stale! The other order was absolutely fine though. Even with that there was something missing... The drinks!! I never received them at the counter! Despite being pressed for time, I know how my vision works with it being motion-based. I would have noticed them putting the cups down. It could be argued that this part was my fault, but in my defence, seeing me in a hurry and not reminding me that I was forgetting my drinks is a careless oversight on an employee. I too work in fast food and stop customers if they dare walk away without their drinks as it's the least I could do service-wise.
REIMBURSEMENT. I make my way back to the establishment with the goal of getting those drinks at the very least and seeing what I could do about the stale and incorrect burger meal. Receipt in hand and burger in garbage, we had to straight-up discuss with stingy employees as policies DO vary from place to place and that's nothing to fault them for. After a long 5 minute discussion—almost haggling process, we received proper compensation for the disappointment that was our experience. In their defence, we hadn't the burger meal with us when we went to have that battle which would have made it easier, but on the other hand, we were first-timers and if we had a habit of robbing from them, they would have recognised our faces and had reason to be stingy. There needed to be a bit more compassion and I feel like it wasn't necessary to have had to wrestle for a decent compensation. In the end, however they made up by giving us the drinks and agreeing to replace the sandwich. In the car ride home, it was discovered that they actually replaced the ENTIRE two meals hot'n steamy, A1 sandwich the way it SHOULD be. It put a smile on my face atleast and saved them from receiving the dreaded 2 stars.
CONCLUSION. Although I had their food prime and fresh personally, it was still not the highest of quality for the prices they charge. I'd much prefer Culver's over on OBT. Similar prices, much more spacious and the food is almost restaurant grade for being a fast food place. Since I didn't really enjoy my experience or their food, I wouldn't really visit for their burgers and the like. Perhaps for their ice cream and cake though! One day I will visit for my second time to try their sweeter goods and I'll review that too. In the meantime, stay frosty and as always... I'll see you guys...
Read moreThe food was good but the service is lacking. The young man taking my order struggled taking my order with no help. After ordering my food I asked the young man to make my ice cream after I eat, he said we don’t do that we put it in the freezer after making it, and I said that I don’t want my food in freezer ask him again to make it after I eat, He didn’t say anything to me after that. After ordering went to the table all the tables in the restaurant were dirty at this time it was not busy at all, besides dirty tables, dirty floors, dirty to Booths there was food on the walls dining room. It was just a mess and nobody came out to clean. After the food came out, I had to make several trips to the front counter there were missing items. After eating I went back up to the counter with my receipt asking him to make my food. He went back to the freezer and brought my ice cream and I told him that I wanted fresh ice cream, because the frozen ice cream did not look very good. He began to have an attitude with me and He refused to remake it, and I told him that if he couldn’t remake it I wanted a refund at that that point he yelled for his supervisor and walk to the back , Iexplain the situation, and she gladly remade my food. They should go to the St. Cloud, Dairy Queen and see how they run things over there. The service is great there!!! Plus, this young man was wearing a dirty do rag on his head, so unprofessional for...
Read morePlaced an order to dine in, restaurant was dirty so we decided to eat in the car. After we ate, we went back inside to get our blizzards. They got mine wrong. I asked for strawberry/banana, and they forgot the banana. The manager Brooklyn then tells me she can give me bananas on the side and I can mix it myself. I asked can you remake it. She did and it was so watery it was leaking all over the place. Gave it back, and she had a bad attitude..she does it again, and it was not mixed right. I didn’t noticed until I drove off. I called to speak to a manager and Brooklyn was rude to me over the phone telling me we didn’t have strawberries but the juice. Then hung up the phone in my face. Looking at my blizzard, it was vanilla ice cream with one huge strawberry at the top and bananas floating at the top. Terrible..and the chicken was hard and gross. Never again will I go to this location on Vine St in...
