Di Palumbo Italian Bakery & Gelato — Restaurant in Kissimmee

We really wanted to try this place so much since the reviews seemed good and being a transplanted Italian New Yorker was looking for an Italian bakery since there aren't any locally. Starting with the Gelato. Chocolate had a great flavor but very "gummy" not like a real Gelato or even ice cream. Pass. Next was sfoliatelle. Surprisingly it came in 3 different flavors. Crust was not a true crispy sfoliatelle crust. More like a flaky pastry crust. Tried 2 flavors and neither tasted like a sfoliatelle but had a nice taste. Pass. Ok, next was the Cannoli. Ugh. Sorry but not that good. Again didn't have a cannoli taste, and crust was a little on the thicker side and a little over done. Pass. To be honest I have had better cannoli from publix. Sorry for the "bad" review, but I try to be honest in my reviews. Again this is MY opinion and others have theirs, so try it and make your own opinion and continue to go there or not whether you like it or not. Though we won't be going back. ...

I was totally knocked out when I just happen to have stopped in just a little place in a strip mall with other restaurants there. It was hot and we wanted a gelato.. I have to tell you I was totally knocked out when I took my first taste of their strawberry and lime gelato. It was the closest thing to Italy that I could have imagined. I’ve been waiting for that perfect taste for years of going to so many different places and this was so authentic. How is this an Italian Bakery. I called in asked if the store existed yes they do after a 20 minute drive to the store we walk in they only had like 5 bite size pieces of cake store was clean but nothing in the glass what kind of operation is this... pictures on the website look good but where is the merchandise. Really disappointed. How are these people giving reviews of nothing they're to eat. I will go again on a later date and see if this really is a bakery. Really...
