I was told no problem, there weren't any reservation for that evening. Wedensday, when I checked in, I went up personally to confirm the reservation and asked for a change in the seating area. Good thing I did because they only had me down for 11 people, so the correct number was added and the hostess asked the manager about the area change to the outside area by the fireplace and was told that it was no problem and they would add the extra table and seating and confirmed the time.
However, when we got to the rooftop at 9 pm, saturday evening, our area by the fireplace was given to a group of white people and they set up an area for 11 people for us in the back by the storage area, with jacked up wobbly tables. When I spoke to the Asian manager, he was rude and dismissive. I should have knocked his behind in the pool but we were staying on location and I had the larger group to think about. There were no apologies from him, nor offers to comp an appetizer. No, nothing.
Then 45 minutes after our reservation time, when the other group had left, they told us we could have the area once they got it cleaned up. No, the party of about 25 did not move, we took over a seating section moved tables and chairs and ended up still enjoying our evening.
I will add that the hostess was very apologetic (she was the one I spoke with in person on wednesday) and the two wait staff people were very nice and professional. I'll just chalk it up to being yet another Black thing, because we always have to deal with some BULL. Food: 3/5 | Service: 1/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Read moreWe visit Renunion a few times a year & love it there. We have spent the last 3 Mother's Day weekends at Renunion. The first year we had brunch downstairs at Forte, it was AMAZING! The following year (last year) they held the brunch at Eleven, it was fabulous. This year was a complete disappointment & a waste of money. I made reservations in March. When we got to the restaurant at 10:30am they did not have a table for us. There was a mistake with the number of guests in my party. I do understand that mistakes happen. However when we were finally sat it was a table all the way in the corner & no one even came over to get a drink order for a solid 10 minutes. I took my daughter up for a plate & nothing was labeled. Most items were lunch items. My daughter is 3 so she is very picky. I assumed since the previous 2 years had breakfast items it would have been similar. I was wrong. Way wrong. All my daughter would eat was a dinner roll. Finally I flagged down a waitress & asked if they could make her 1 scrambled egg. It seemed like a huge inconvenience to the staff. After my daughter ate her egg I told her she could have something off of the dessert table. She chose chocolate cake. She took a few bites of it & told me it tasted funny. I tried it & it had an alcoholic taste, again nothing was labeled. I asked and sure enough it had alcohol in it. Despite the FEW breakfast items they had my husband went to get Eggs Benedict & they told him he was not able to have it because the machine was broken. The bill for 9 of us was around $600.00. I barely ate anything myself. When we went to the pool we ordered food because we were still hungry. Very disappointed! Waste of money. Side note: We still love the resort & will continue to go back, just NOT to Eleven. We should have had breakfast at the clubhouse. It would have saved a...
Read moreIf you do eat on the resort, go to Eleven, and request server Warren, he's totally amazing. He took the time to explain the menu to my daughter a very picky eater, it made her night, she tried things on the menu, she would have never tried. I did let corporate know how GREAT Warren was, and he need to be the one that train their managers and rest of their employees how to treat their customers. Great customer service, made our experience memorable, especially for our daughter. Thank you Warren.. Job Well Done.
Word of advice. Do not go to Traditions cook Hector has a terrible attitude and can't cook a medium well steak, the Manager Zak, can only speak English and can hear just fine when he's the Manager at Eleven, when he was at Traditions and I wanted to speak with him about Hector, he couldn't hear or speak good English. I did let Corporate know, if Zak and Hector are still there, then you know Corporate don't care about their customers.
Warren should be Manager and I guarantee Traditions will be better operated and you'll have a Manager that care about...
