The Clubhouse — Restaurant in Kissimmee

I took a group of friends here for breakfast one Friday morning, being hungry and able to catch a shuttle here from home. I was unaware that on weekend mornings, breakfast was a buffet, rather than a menu order. That turned out to be an excellent thing.

The wait staff was very friendly and helpful and the spot was wide open for us. I wasn't expecting a buffet, what with the normal COVID restrictions and not being available in most places, but here it was. It offered bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, potatoes, fresh fruit and french toast. Of course, coffee was on offer as well.

Everything we sampled was very good. The fresh fruit was sweet and ripe, the sausages were large and flavorful, the bacon was cooked to the perfect crispness, the eggs had just the right amount of peppers and flavor, the potatoes were crunchy yet soft and the coffee was some of the best I've had in a restaurant. Service was slow. Waitress was difficult to understand. Good variety of menu items. My burger was served raw. It was plain enough to see the blood on my plate and should never have left that kitchen. The second which I finally was served, after everyone else had finished was very good. Dining area very clean. No cash allowed and automatically charged 20% gratuity. I was under the assumption that gratuitys were given by CHOICE for EXEMPLARY SERVICE. We won't bother coming again no matter how good your food was. So I have mixed feelings about this place. It was clean, the service was okay at best (asked for 2 fried eggs, they came out scrambled, slow on refills but she was nice), the food actually tasted pretty good (breakfast buffet). However, I feel like for $23 per plate that the options on the buffet were pretty meager, not much to choose from at all. For what you get you can go somewhere else...
