I recently had the chance to dine at the Lakehouse Bar & Grill, and it turned out to be quite the delightful experience. This place is a hidden gem, offering a charming view of the lake that adds a serene backdrop to your meal. It's one of those spots that instantly puts you in a good mood, thanks to its picturesque setting and laid-back atmosphere. The drinks we tried were spot-on. Whether you're into cocktails or prefer something non-alcoholic, they've got you covered with a variety of choices that are as refreshing as they are delicious. It's always a plus when a place pays as much attention to their drink menu as they do to their food. Speaking of food, it didn't disappoint. Everything we ordered was tasty, well-presented, and hit the spot just right. It's clear they put a lot of thought and care into their menu, aiming to please a wide range of palates. Our server was the cherry on top of an already great evening. Cheerful, funny, and with a hint of a cheeky British accent, they made our dining experience even more enjoyable. It's not every day you come across a server who can genuinely add to the enjoyment of your meal with their personality and service. All in all, the Lakehouse Bar & Grill is a cute spot that's definitely worth checking out, whether you're a local or just passing through. Good drinks, good food, and a great atmosphere, complemented by excellent service, make it a place I'd happily recommend to anyone looking for a nice meal with a view.

About ten years ago this was an independently owned and operated boutique hotel. The decor was British colonial. The service was exemplary. They had a separate lounge and a formal dining room called the Plantation Room. On Friday and Saturday nights the lounge featured a piano player, Jeff, who sang and had the crowd participate in musical games. My wife and I were treated like royalty there on our first anniversary. While we were in the lounge enjoying Jeff's entertainment the hotel manager had chocolates, bottle of champagne, and rose petals placed in our room complimentary. Since then the hotel has been purchased by Marriott. The interior was redecorated and it's nowhere near the same. While the service is still very good, because of the change of staff they are not exemplary. The quality of the meals is good but again not the same. We had Easter Sunday brunch just a few days ago and while again the food was good it is not the same quality as it used to be. And also very pricey approximately $90 per person. The service was not the same level there were some minor mistakes something that you would expect at a lower rated establishment but not at a boutique hotel. I think you get a better quality service, better quality food at Boma in the animal Kingdom Lodge. And for less money about $50 a head. I wish the management team would revert to the hotel back to the way it was and have it completely independent of the Marriott chain.

Disappointed by Unwelcoming Experience I recently attempted to have lunch and meet my coworker at this establishment with my 18-year-old son, but unfortunately, we were turned away with the explanation that there was no space available. However, it was clearly evident that there was ample room inside only one large family and a couple were seated indoors, with just two individuals outside. What was most disheartening was the feeling that my 18 year old son appearance may have influenced the decision to deny us service. As a local business owner who has consistently referred guests to the hotel associated with this restaurant, I expected a more welcoming and inclusive experience. This incident has led me to reconsider my support. I will be directing future guests to alternative accommodations where hospitality and respect are prioritized. I hope this feedback encourages the management to reflect on their approach to customer service and inclusivity. I instead went to the Celebration Tavern previously known as Boston Tavern across the street to meet my colleague and her son and have lunch which is always welcoming.

We chose this place because of the review ratings. We like to do brunch and try new places all the time. We were in Celebration for the day, so why not? I don't know where to begin, service was SLOW, food was AWFUL, and the leadership seemed to care less. It took so long after being seated until our server came around. So long that we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Our food came before our drinks (we were less than 10 feet from the bar). There were items missing as well. We both ordered Steak and Eggs, medium rare. One was WELL-DONE, sorry, no steak should EVER be cooked to that level.... The other? Was so rare that even our waitress said "oh my, that is so rare it's moo'ing at you." We could NOT eat it. Our waitress had the manager come over, who was willing to have everything re-made, sure, okay, it happens. However, she appalling said "the steak is hard to determine the temperature...". What...? I get steak and eggs EVERYWHERE else and never have issues. If your kitchen staff don't know how to cook meat, get new staff. After MORE waiting, with no refills on water or our beverages, we get the food again. This time around, medium-well and rare again! The steak was SALTY. My partner could not eat hers at all. I only ate my... jerky?... because I was starving and we've had waited about an hour at this point to eat. The egg whites I had were slimy and inedible even after pouring an ungodly amount of salt and pepper. I actually got sick after we left this place. I hadn't been able to eat the remainder of the day. Granted, when we followed up with the manager, she said the check would be handled, she seemed to only want us to GTFO. She was short and disinterested. Her demeanor was, just negative. It's seriously disappointing to have service and food like this. Lastly, I felt very stereotyped. The demeanor and looks given read that we were some kids looking for a free meal. I HATE complaining, it's embarrassing for me. Granted we may have looked like a couple of hellions, wearing casual t-shirt and jeans, and having tattoo sleeves. (I get it a lot, it's disgusting) But you can't judge a book by it's cover. Advice? Get new kitchen staff who knows how to cook steak! Seriously, two IDENTICAL orders with such different results??? Help your waitstaff, hire more, train more, train better. And give your leadership team some compassion and customer service...

While it is priced like a destination buffet, it isn’t. $22.00 for this weekend breakfast buffet is steep for what you get. In fact, if management axed the omelette/crepe station, got rid of the gross salmon bagels and weird “crostini”, used clear/smaller dishes for the fruit salad, smaller cups for the yogurt parfait + actually made a layered parfait rather than globbing a spoonful of yogurt in a cup and sprinkling a teaspoon of granola and a couple of blueberries on top, keep the pastry and hot items, and drop the price to $15-$16, the whole thing would be exactly right for the right price. OR, improve the quality of the food and the service so that people will happily hand over $22.

Why was I friendlier than the staff? Actually, correction - one member of the staff. The two waiters on duty were courteous enough. I would encourage this restaurant to invest in hospitality training for its employees. When I approached the omelette bar, the employee (Martha) was in the middle of a task. I get it, so I waited. When Martha finally acknowledged me, it wasn’t with a polite, “What can I make for you?”, it was with a very irritated, somewhat hostile, “Yeeees?” I’m standing in front of the crepe/omelette station, so . . . um . . . yeah, I want an omelette. I felt like I was begging for something I paid for. What?! (sigh)

Of everything on the buffet, my favorite was the pastries. I think they came frozen, and were heated in the kitchen because they had that Sara Lee/Trader Joe’s frozen croissant quality to them. And I’m here for that because they were warm, flaky, kind of gooey, and tasted fresh. Plus, they were 1/2 the size of regular pastries, so I got try each. I liked them all. To be clear - not amazing, just of the things I tried, I liked them best, they were good.

Since this is called a crepe buffet, you can be sure I was going to finish with a crepe. Was anyone at the station? it took a while for someone to show up, and that sad little crepe wasn’t...

Hello, I just left this building at January 5th 4pm Came with five friends and myself, we were going to dine in and asked for mimosas, an old lady ask us what we were looking for, after we explained we were looking to drink mimosas and three of was going to dine in only, she wasn’t professional enough and told us to wait because there was someone else in front of us, (she shouldn’t even bother to ask us what we needed if she wasn’t ready for our service, later on the guest told her she wasn’t ready and she needed to look at a menu) the same employee old lady knew my friends spoke Spanish and she brought someone else who was hispanic, I kept speaking in English, she was nice and told us that brunch was over after 3pm, we told her, again, that the three of us were going to dine in only, and we were okay pay individual mimosas, they continued asking us that we have to dine in as well.

We work at Disney (Epcot) as servers and our highest quality service to our guest is above any other restaurant out of Disney property, i had a half slice of pizza in my hand and someone else told them to let me know I can’t dine in without finishing or throwing it away. At this moment I knew they were uncomfortable taking us so I nicely told them we weren’t going to dine in anymore and I walked away with my friends. This poor customer service shouldn’t be a thing in the first place regardless who comes in. There is always room for improvement, this was our first time coming in and saw good reviews, reason why we bother to come here.

Whoever is manager of this restaurant, please train well your staff, you shouldn’t have people with this poor customer service working for...
