Upper Crust Pizza — Restaurant in Florida

I really wanted to give this pizza place 5 stars however it’s only getting 3!

We ordered two of the large pizzas. One was cheese. The second was sausage and pepperoni, and we also ordered a Cuban sandwich.

First, the Cuban, traditional Cuban does not have salami on it so I opted to keep that off. I cut the sandwich and my daughter took half. I took the other half it instantly burnt my daughter’s mouth and throat and this was not from the heat or the temperature it was from some kind of spicy pickle. I’ve never known any Cuban to use spicy pickles on a Cuban sandwich. Other than that the Cuban would’ve been OK at best..

Next for the cheese pizza it was just ordinary nothing to write home about, however, as I was trying the sauce it was a sweet sauce and you can tell that they use green peppers in their sauce and they weren’t fully dissolved. I was getting a lot of green pepper taste in my mouth and I can feel the little chunks of the green peppers

My husband opted for the sausage and pepperoni. He also said this one was just OK. He did say that the pepperoni had a very strong bite to it and he could couldn’t eat it.

So unfortunately, at this time, this establishment will be a one and done for us. We are always trying to find pizzerias in the area that have the New Jersey New York, Pennsylvania appeal to it, and we have only found a small handful.

On the plus side if you work in or around Winterhaven downtown, you can actually stop in to get a slice of pizza for under...

Very disappointed. First, I ordered the 10” pie. Nothing like, pizza by the slice.

I am from NY. And we know pizza. I was here once before, and had two slices. That was ok considering there are no places around here that make REAL pizza. The pizza was good enough to want to go back for more.

Can’t say, I will go back again. First the place should be a bit more clean considering they don’t have tables inside. The waiting area was a mess. You could say, definitely, more appropriate of Penn Station in Manhattan than Celebration, where everything is so pristine.

Moreover what really bothered me the most, was the staff’s unrelentless disregard for basic Food & Beverage protocol.

Troublesome was seeing a pizza maker with his jeans below his derrière as the belt held the jeans right below and his dark blue underwear simultaneously showed. After all, this is Celebration, not midtown Manhattan, 20 years ago.

Also problematic was seeing a young gal with beautiful long hair that graced her mid back, tossing and turning it as if she was doing a shampoo commercial. And all while handling food in and out the ovens. I don’t know, but there’s something about the ‘Unmade Bed’ hairstyle that just doesn’t go with food prep.

Oh yeah, and about that 10” pie, believe it or not, 7-11 has a much better cheese pie.

If you go there, stick with a couple of slices and don’t let the kids hanging out stop you...

I had a very disappointing experience at Upper Crust Pizza in Celebration, mainly due to the poor service from the cashier. From the moment we walked in, she looked visibly unhappy—no smile, no greeting, no welcoming attitude. It was clear she didn’t want to interact with customers. She spent most of her time either on her phone or sitting by the oven, hiding from the front counter.

When she did come to the register, her demeanor completely changed from how she acted with her coworkers—laughing and whispering with them—to looking annoyed and unapproachable with us. She didn’t say “hello” or “thank you,” and after every item we ordered, she kept saying, “Is that it?”—making us feel rushed and unwelcome.

To make matters worse, she made faces at customers and seemed visibly irritated whenever the phone rang for orders. It felt like we were a burden, not valued guests.

Another small but telling issue: the soda fridge wasn’t restocked properly. Instead of rotating the cans (FIFO), she just put the new sodas in the front, so all the ones in front were warm. We had to dig in to find a cold one.

The pizza itself was okay—nothing amazing—but definitely not enough to make up for the terrible customer service. And to top it all off, the payment machine prompted us for a tip. For what? No greeting, no courtesy, no service worth tipping.
