Read moreMy local McDonald's operates like a well oiled machine. On a really busy day, they are churning those burgers and fries at the speed of light. I have not seen more than 2 or 3 cars in the drive thru lanes, even when a steady flow of cars is making its way to the order booth. So why have I marked one star for service, I came to buy Breakfast for the family a week or two ago. Everything went smooth until I was at the pickup window. I had two small coffees in the order. Instead of giving me the coffee's in a cup holder the clerk goes to handing me each cup. As I grab one being it was a small cup, I tried to grab it firmly , the lid came off as I was over my driver window. This very hot coffee fell on my hand and some fell on my knee. Instead of reacting to the burning sensation, I calmly asked the young man to grab the cup outta my hand and fix the lid. Anyway, the point of this incident is to bring awareness to businesses who operate at a great speed to serve us. That safety should be a #1 priority for any business. The incident in my case was avoidable if the person in the window was trained adequately. This McDonald's is a busy location and finding help is tough. Order online, got shakes, they didn't have and the app was not updated. At the beginning she offered only pastries and when I said I didn't want pastries, didn't let me finish, she only gave me the ticket and closed the window. When ask about a refund or something else for a change, in a rude tone and bother about the questions, she just said no and to just go to the other window. When we got to the other window the guy, very nice, ask to move to the next pickup window that our order will be given there. When pull over after 2 cars were served the same tm in a hurry give us the order and forgot the drinks. Then arguing with someone inside, was very uncomfortable, lie about asking for a change and us having all the options about given to us.
