Amato's — Restaurant in Kittery

The website said they were open until 10. My husband called and ordered a pizza at 8 & picked up at 8:45. We were never given a pickup time on the phone so we figured 45 minutes was a good chunk of time. As soon as we walked in the door, the girl behind the counter told us they were closed and told us we needed to pay at the gas station connected to it. We felt awful for making them wait. As soon as we were handed our pizza the employee left. I was confused but the website definitely says open until 10 p.m., so I’m not sure if it’s an error on the website or if they were just closing early. When we got home and opened our pizza it was raw. The crust was so doughy you could pull it apart with your fingers. I ate a few bites of mine and my husband threw his entire pizza in the trash after seeing mine. The mushrooms on my pizza were slimy. My step father, relatives business. The person that,was sweep the floor has no guest service. We've never been to this one didn't know we had to order in a different spot. Not very, nice the way he said,it to us. It was like we were bothering him. The person ranging us out wasn't nice either. Until the bag broke and our sandwich fall on the floor . Thank God, staped up. He did ask ,if we needed another bag. Which we did say, no Thank you. I've grown up on Amatos, food. I've never felt like ,we were welcomed. In any of the shops until ,this day. The night before I had a 12 in pizza and it was really good. Then in the morning I went in for breakfast, and asked the cook an older Gentleman with the accent if he had an Omlette with meat and onions and green peppers , then I was told to look at the menu board . Apparently the question was to difficult to answer. I did order one from the menu and added cheese. I ate 2 bites and it was disgusting. I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Next time Mr Cook, from what he appears to be working for , is a 5 star restaurant and you tell me your not a waiter.
