Party of 10 reservation, this review is a consensus upon all in the group(who mind you are empathetic kitchen workers)
I’m going to TRY to not go into huge detail, the service was terrible and the food was NOTHING like the last time I went(everyone in the group agreed) the waiter was hardly a waiter, she didn’t go around the table & ask everyone what they wanted for drinks we had to flag her down multiple times, she simply refused to make eye contact with everyone at the table paying for her service via what would have been a nice fat tip had she even tried. After about 25 minutes everyone had their drinks & the people who wanted coffee got less than lukewarm cups barely half filled with really old coffee and an explanation that it was all they had left and would make more(when they should have just made more and brought out hot coffee to begin with.) Appetizers were forgotten, drinks were forgotten, entrees, desserts, forgotten, receipts were rung up incorrectly & the food was honestly gross, some of us didn’t order anything after appetizers because they were that unappetizing. The waitress might have been having a bad day but she still had a job to do & she did it really terribly, without any remorse or smiles... or anything. We liked coming here as a group for industry night, we like supporting locals, we like leaving big tips, next time we will be doing that somewhere else because even $9 was too much for the slop I ordered. I might sound high strung but you probably underestimate how much I’m willing to tolerate, I work in a kitchen and I know it’s hard. If she had even been friendly at all I probably wouldn’t have actually considered posting this but the whole experience...

Read moreHave been to this restaurant on multiple occasions and have eaten several dishes there. They are an Island inspired business which came about from a trip the owners had taken to Grand Case. In a conversation I had with them they said they were were sitting on the beach. Looking across to Anguila and enjoying a plate of Goat ribs from a little meal shack there. The couple looked at each other and said this is the type of Business for us.
They started out in Portsmouth New Hampshire and migrated to their current location in Kittery Maine. They purchased a food truck to keep the business going while their Kittery location was under Construction. It has now grown to a very large catering operation for them.
They are a very Community minded family and feature events intended on giving to charities they believe in. I recently attended an event called a"Bring your own Flannel" or BYO Flannel, which you come dressed in Flannel to a Party which included a live band. It was a great time and the patrons all looked to be enjoying themselves immensely.
Their menu selection is based on a Caribbean style of cooking with the associated flavors and textures. Their goal was to bring the feel of the islands to New England while maintaining authenticity with the Seacoast. I had the opportunity to eat a couple meals there which ran the gamut from very spicy to pretty mild. They were all delicious.
The staff is friendly and fun to be around. If you are passing through the Seacoast area and feel hungry, THIS is the...
