Tributary Brewing Company in Kittery, ME for a couple full pours & a flight of that good dark dark. November 2021 was my last visit here & of course we were dealing with that f&%king global bastard at the time so I was looking forward to returning during better times. Kittery is another great brewery & craft beer hub, with three breweries & a good amount of awesome pubs, bars & restaurants. I had been lucky enough to be gifted a MOTT THE LESSER (FALL 2020) Russian Imperial Stout that I cracked a few months ago during a tasting with a couple friends. So when I saw that they had a MOTT THE LESSER (FALL 2024) on tap I knew I needed to head up to Maine. Being the cold winter season I was excited to see that there was a good amount of dark beer on. 🍻✌☘
I started out with a side pull of the TMAVY LEZAK Dark Lager that was excellent & perfectly smooth & creamy. I then scooped a pint of the EAST COAST EXTRA Bitter American IPA that was good with a subtle bitterness in the finish. I then moved onto a flight of four beginning with the OYSTER STOUT, which was a above average oyster stout. The BIERE DE MIEL Saison was the second taster in my flight & was delicious for my first honey based saison I've had. The third taster was the BALTIC PORTER (2024) which was awesome & definitely made me want a full pour. The last beer in my flight was the MOTT THE LESSER (FALL 2024) Russian Imperial Stout which along with the BALTIC PORTER (2024) was another excellent dark offering & well worth the trip. 🍻🍻💪💪
There isn't a huge amount of seating, but there was some bar seating, hightops, rail seating & tables. The staff was super friendly & accommodating for sure with one of the brewers filling in pouring beers before the bartender got in. Plenty of can options to check out & take home as well. I'm sure I'll be back in the next couple years again to check out the newest MOTT THE LESSER, well worth checking out for sure especially with the surrounding breweries & pubs. 🍻🍻🔥☘
BEERGASM RATING - 69/97 THOSE DARK BEERS WERE SO GOOD I GOT JUNGLE FEVER! 🍻🍻🍆🍆🍆💤💤💦💦✌♥️🍺

Read moreI've lived in the seacoast for a few years now and I'm ashamed to admit it's taken me this long to decipher why I continually go back to Tributary. Drinking their beer is akin to the very first experience of visiting other major taprooms like Sierra Nevada in Berkeley/Chico or Bell's Eccentric Cafe in Kalamazoo. The fulfillment immediately transports me and I realize I'm drinking something special, mid-beer, (which can easily be forgotten or purposely gets a little hazy elsewhere) which is why I don't mind spending my hard earned dollars there. When I buy a beer at Tributary, I'm not only getting a great true-to-style brew but I'm buying a beer that will act as the conductor of a train or a pilot on a flight, ensuring I make it to my destination safely. That destination: a time and place when/where craft beer was once very sacred. Young bucks: consider this your IRL equivalent to a Rick and Morty portal gun. Timecop...
Read moreWell done. The minute I saw the side pull tab, I knew this brewery had a good likelihood of being a hit. Some people hate beer based on feelings of indigestion or something stuck in the throat. Thats bad beer (even if it tastes good). The minute I took a sip of their polotomavy I knew their water quality was very good and could tell they diligently clean their taps.
We also had their porter which honestly tasted like a dark lager which I love. I hope they continue to find success and reccomend beer lovers (lagers, ales esp.) prepare a visit.
Czech style beer lovers this is a great...
