What was life in Kittery like before the Frisbee school became the the community center? Probably not that great. Now, The seniors play pickle ball, the teens play basketball, the recovering injured walk around the track, the cultured take in a play or art viewing, the children are educated and nurtured, the wellness of this town is much improved. Many perks for residents, but out of towners are encouraged to attend events and enroll in the offerings.
We hosted a 75 person baby shower here in 2013, and now both kids have attended school here as well as joined sports teams. I’d say I’ll be using this facility for a dozen more years!
Parking can be a pain in the butt, like when the shipyard has meetings or elections are held. Or Tuesdays for some reason. Staff is great and will usually look into things for you if they don’t have answers right away. Eyes of the world is hard to get a hold of, but they are busy busy and don’t have much administrative time to return calls and emails. Better off finding alumni to answer questions.
Lastly, I highly recommend Jump n Gym and Zumba for kids if you’re at home caring for preschoolers. Fun and active indoor winter...
