While on our vacation, we decided that we wanted to get some local Thai food. Being Asian we're familiar with the taste of each dish. We wanted to give this place our best effort and try it out so we ordered 9 different dish to try. Out of 9, we've only liked 1. Here's my review. The green curry was good, we enjoyed it and tasted great. The other dishes were mediocre, but some stood out as terrible. The pork lomein noodles used were just ramen noodles and the taste lacked a bit of seasoning. The larb has no taste besides salt, not like your typical larb that taste of herbs, spice, and hint of lemon grass. Makes it taste like boiled pork with salt, no effort to make it authentic. Drunken noodle was okay, not really anything amazing. Saseme chicken tasted decent. The pork with mixed vege was lacking in seasoning as well. The sticky rice was not portioned. It looked like they just wrapped a bunch of finger portioned sticky rice and didn't seem organized. We got 5 finger portioned sticky rice, which was really odd and gave us a good laugh. The pad thai was lacking in flavor, but we were hungry so we ate half of it. The other dishes weren't what tasted by me, but we threw out most of the dishes. I'd like to give them the benefit of doubt, but we only like 2 of the 9 dishes. Pretty hard to rate it any higher as first impression goes. Most likely won't be a...
Read moreA little late in writing this review as I had experienced Pok’s Art’s food and service several months ago. Better late than never… as I want more people to experience their amazing food and great customer service. I haven’t gone to the restaurant, but I had food catered for an event. Chef Pok helped me select the perfect menu and on the day of the event he sent pictures of the fresh vegetables and seafood he procured. He also sent me pictures during prep and while cooking the food which made me feel like I was involved in making the food that was put on the tables that night. Everyone absolutely loved the food. There was no compromise in the quality or the quantity of the food that was sent. It was enough for lunch next day for the whole group. He even made a large tray of alfredo pasta (didnt charge me for it) as I mentioned to him that my son loves pasta, but I won’t order it as it doesn’t go along with the rest of the menu. I couldn’t be happier with the food or the service. Highly Highly recommend this place to whoever is visiting the...
Read moreSo dissatisfied... been dining/loving poks for years. This was the 2nd Very Bad experience. 7people dined spent almost $200... every meal was sub par... i.e. bland tasteless pad thai, iceberg(instead of cabbage)in the fresh spring rolls. (Maybe that's how they make them, my first time trying one there) Cashew nuts in our basil chix. Cuz we ordered cashew chix also, cross contamination... VERY questionable beef in the spicy beef salad!!! Also no flavor... not one of the 5foodies in the house was happy at all. We tried the sticky rice for the first time... if that's what is was supposed to be I highly recommend against. Not one of the seven of us would take a second bite. We dine often and rocked a family biz for 30yrs...and we're SO SAD ANOTHER ONE BITES THE DUST. Close down and work your other amazing duck restaurant. I know your brother is trying his best at Single Fin, also not still your quality.....Quit charging us for barely half way decent food... your so much better. Stay small with quality...
