Over all the service is never great. Also....employee conversations do not need to be broadcast loudly for everyone to hear. Today I overheard an employee basically complaining about how much he had going on outside of work. These conversations were being held in a very vocal manner where you could hear them all over the restaurant.... this information does not need to be shared with the public who comes to this establishment to enjoy their meal. There was another time that I came to this location and ordered a breakfast all day combo meal which was to include a hash brown and didn't. My husband went back up to the counter to get my missing hash brown and the counter attendant commented, " sure I will give you a free hash brown....the hash browns always seem to be missing." Okay first of all we should have reported him to management for making such a derogatory comment implying that we pocketed a hash brown in order to obtain a free one. Please.... you work at McDonald's son. Nuff said. Accusing customers is not the way to do business and if we want to buy another hash brown we can buy 20 so don't go there and if you want us to buy you one.... well why didn't you just say so? But I don't need anyone implying that I still cuz honey that I don't..... so long story short this was an establishment I had said to myself I would never go to again I really don't actually hardly ever eat at fast food places being health-minded and fast food is more of rare treat. But I did it again today and it was a mistake but my last and I do mean that I am a woman of my word this place sucks and I'm not going to give them any more money if I'm going to spend money and calories it's not going to be here. Common sense when someone sitting down to eat and a dining room with nobody else in that dining room would you really need to start cleaning at the table right behind them with your stinky bottle of chemicals or could you perhaps start at the other end of the dining room and maybe give them a break so they could eat their meal without smelling your stinky rag and chemicals? So between that and the loud conversation I basically had to cut my lunch short again something that I rarely do but I learned from it there's a reason I rarely do it and there's a reason not to do it anymore especially at this establishment. Keep in mind this is not the only time I've been here I've been here a couple other times and every single time I've been here I've witnessed something going wrong, conflict, drama, customers screaming at the employees because their orders were wrong and employees charging out flipping out yes I saw that before, ketchup all over the place, many dirty tables that should have been cleaned when emploees were standing around, dried sticky soda on the ground which feels lovely to walk on. I'd say get your act together McDonald's but I really don't...
Read moreMiserable experience. Filed a complaint with corporate. On 4/11 I overhead a male manager be verbally abusive to a female employee. This was in the kitchen area. He thought I had exited the side door but I had actually paused to find my keys. Anyway, I heard him curse at her and she started crying and screamed something like "i tried, i tried, depression is not a choice." She was crying hysterically. I felt so bad for her I should have reported it but I didn't. For years I had been getting iced coffee from this location and most of the time it has been fine. A couple weeks back I ordered it and they handed me what looked like a completely different drink. The girl at the window said it was the right drink. I knew it wasn't so i asked for a manager. He said it was the right drink but with no creamer because the creamer machine was out. He gave me creamer packets to add and once i added them to the drink it was fine. I DID NOT return it or ask for a refund. Around 4/19 I order the iced coffee through the drive thru again and it tasted terrible. I requested a refund and gave them the drink back. Today 4/21 I went through the drive through and got my usual iced coffee again. I was going to give them another chance since sometimes a batch of coffee could be bad and it looks like they are training new people so i thought maybe the prior bad drink was a fluke. However it wasn't and this one was nasty too. I asked for a refund and a vile horribly rude woman informed me this was "the 3rd time i had done this and not only could i not get a refund but i also could not order from them ever again." WTH, why am i being banned and demeaned just because your location is serving nasty drinks. Like wow, just wow..seriously Mcdonalds this is the caiber of human beings you hire. Why don't you just automate the serving so nasty people like this aren't representing your restaurants OR stop degrading the quality of your ingredients just to squeeze every cent you can out customers? OR and this is just crazy i know(sarcasm)..PAY higher wages to get better...
Read moreThey always seem understaffed, and the employees who are on the clock seem harried.
The restaurant is always dirty. The drink station is always a disgusting, sticky mess. The trash cans are almost always overflowing.
We're a vegetarian family. I wish McDonald's would get with the times and cater to all walks of life, instead of trying to compete to be the coolest coffee house. I like that they do all day breakfast, but it seems like we always boggle the employees when we ask for no meat on our sandwiches, or to substitute an egg instead of sausage or bacon. Everyone seems to ring our no-meat order up differently, so I don't know how to ask for it to make it easier on the cashier. Also, my 4 year old daughter loves McGriddles, but also wants a Happy Meal. Why can't I pay an upcharge to get her a McGriddles with egg (no meat) instead of a hamburger?
I miss the characters that were integral to the McDonald's of my childhood - Ronald, Hamburglar, Mayor McCheese, Grimace, Birdie, the Fry Guys... I realize that is a decision from Corporate, not at the franchise level. The decor of many McDonald's nowadays is generic, and bland. Again, probably a corporate mandate.
The only reason we really choose this location is to give our daughter a treat by letting her play in the Play Place. If the location on Avalon had a Play Place, I'd avoid this one entirely. When I was a kid, the location on Avalon DID have an outdoor playland. My favorite was the giant metal Grimace on springs that you could shake yourself silly in. I miss the McDonald's...
