The Taproom — Restaurant in Knightdale

This is the nicest place I've been to in Knightdale.

When I first started coming here, they were named the Vapor Market. They were at the other end of the shopping strip, had seven beers on tap, a myriad of juice flavors, and happy to show me the basics on how to use and maintain a vape. When I went on vacation with my family in November of 2018, it was with the Polar Ice flavor (since I smoked menthols) that kept me away from cigarettes and I've not needed a cigarette since.

This is the nicest place I've been to in North Carolina.

The atmosphere is a living thing in this establishment, having been tended to with great care over the years by the mom and dad co-owners. It's kind of like Cheers, where everybody knows your name. At first I really enjoyed conversations on any and every topic with the owners, but it wasn't long before the welcoming feeling had me on a first name basis with many of the regulars. And when they asked me how my day was, they cared about the response.

They've since moved to the corner of the shopping strip, combining with their olive oil, vinegars, and spices store. It wasn't their customers that came out to help because at that point we were their friends. They were very lucky with the timing of the move, because shortly after Covid hit. Too many local businesses had been put out of business, but this little corner store we all came to love made it through. The appearance

This is the nicest place I've been to in the United States.

They've hosted Thanksgiving dinners when I couldn't be with my family. We've had birthdays, graduations, and celebrations for all different occasions together. I've gotten to see the owners children grow, watching as their youngest went from babbling on all fours to running around and telling me about everything wonderful and exciting in the world. I've made friends from all different walks of life here who I care about very much. And they care about me.

When my brother got involved in a terrible accident last year and lost his leg, it was this group of people who supported me when I needed it most. This group of people who came out to his house and helped clear out what should've been on an episode of Hoarder's to get the house wheelchair accessible. He was able to return home from the hospital on Christmas eve and my family members were able to have Christmas together when we needed to be together most, because of this group of people.

My band (Overdrive Rock Band NC) recently played here! These guys were amazing to work with. Couldn't have been nicer! The crowd and regulars were very friendly, welcoming and interactive with the show! Bobby, the owner, was in attendence and we got the impression that he runs a great establishment with care and pride! I first met the proprietors of this establishment almost 9 years ago, and they have always exceeded my expectations with service and an assortment of things from vapes to amazing craft beers. Though I don’t play shuffleboard, it seems to be popular at times along with the darts and the table frisbee golf.
