Aubrey's Strawberry Plains — Restaurant in Knoxville

Normally coming to Aubrey's is an enjoyable experience.. This time not so much. We sat in the bar area at a booth. It was across from where the servicers place their orders,, get their bar drink orders ect.. So it's a busy area.. That wasn't a problem.. What was,, it was also a gathering spot for the servers to gab with one another those who were working & I guess those who were not working.. From the conversation you could clearly over hear!! So they were not quiet or talking low ect!! Yes they were busy But the bar area wasn't loud from other tables talking or the bar customers themselves.. Just the servers.. Now our order was the little pizza appetizer which we made it clear Very Very lite cheese on it. Being we weren't overly hungry we decided to split one of their Burger & Fries.. I can never finish a whole one with or without a appetizer & my husband didn't want a whole one either.. When our appetizer came we asked for plates & after a few minutes they never came.. So we just went ahead & are our appetizer making a mess without our plates!!!!! Finally a server came over saying our dinner will be out shortly.. I asked again for a extra plate has he wasn't who waited on us but apparently our server decided she didn't want to care for us.. At least he was Good an attentive,,so no issues with him at all... Our 1st server may had thought because we were splitting a dinner the tip would be bad or just not be there at all.. But that's not the case,, we always tip if service & order are good,, foods hot ect!! Less only because of the total bill wasn't for 2 meals,, yet a bit better than the bare minimum!! We ate & we left disappointed we couldn't carry on a conversation while we ate because of the servers yapping so much & to loudly!! I certainly won't sit in the bar area ever again,,, Most likely it will be a while till we go...

We decided to give this spot a try while passing through the Knoxville area. Saw good reviews...and it looked promising.

We took advantage of the Curbside Pickup...and maybe that is their downfall. Placed our order online and were quickly informed through email of the approximate time that our order would be ready. We got to our parking spot about 5 minutes before the ready time, called the number on the sign, waited a few for the right team member to tell us that it would be just a few minutes more and they'll bring it right out. After that phone call we noticed some bags being placed on a counter inside the restaurant. Fifteen minutes later, no food. I called back and was put on hold. Hung up, called back and asked for the manager. I told the manager that we have been waiting 15 minutes AFTER we were told it would be just a few minutes. The manager asked me to hold for a bit then she came back to say, "I see that your order is just coming together now...it will be out in about 30 seconds". Then, we saw someone inside grab one of the bags that was on that counter for almost 15 minutes and bring it out to us. Lying is unacceptable. Oddly enough, we were refunded $6.56, but I don't know what that is for and how that amount was determined.

The food was pretty good. I ordered the Cheddar Burger and my wife ordered a Patty Melt. She really likes her food...said the meat was well seasoned and cooked just right.

My burger wasn't that great...no seasoning and it was dry. The thick cut potato chips were the best part.

Since it's very unlikely that we'll stop through this way anytime soon, we will likely not visit again.

Maybe it would have been different if we ate inside. Who knows...please visit them and make your...

Wow! The food here is so very, very good! I have been to Aubrey's on 3 different occasions now, and each time the food as literally wowed me, especially for the price!

I brought my parents here one night while they were in town to visit, and while I have to say - the food did take a very long time to get made even though we were pretty much the only ones there (we went at 9:00pm), when the food came out none of us cared.

Unfortunately, my Dad can be a bit impatient, and was starting to get a bit cranky. It wasn't the server's fault. The server and also another gal who wasn't our server but walked by - were both very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, and also apologetic about the length of time it was taking to prepare the food (even though they didn't have to be). Finally the food came up, and the moment he took a bite of his food, he was in great spirits again because it was so delicious. His steak was cooked perfect - just how he liked it! He ate every bite! My mom's burger - again cooked absolutely perfect - was devoured, and my grilled salmon tacos were packed with so much flavor I couldn't put them down. Absolutely fantastic food and soooo much flavor! The bread was good, even the water seemed to be filtered. Delicious food combined with great prices, and an incredible server and waitstaff. Seriously, what more could you want from your dining experience?

Aubrey's - you guys have literally out done yourself to provide an exceptional, yet casual and light, dining experience for your guests. This is now one of my favorite places to go. I will be turning this into my regular to-go spot from now on. ...
