Very popular restaurant in West Knoxville. Quite crowded and loud. High-energy, social networking vibe. Unfortunately, not really my "cup of tea". Of course, I'm very odd and picky when it comes to food and atmosphere. Therefore, you must consider this when reading my review. Two good friends of mine, who live in the area, selected Cazzy's. Having moved to Florida more about 10 years ago, I was unfamiliar with Cazzy's. In fact, the whole area where Cazzy's is located is new to me. None of it was there when I lived in Knoxville. Driving from Maryville, I had slight difficulties locating Cazzy's, and even more difficulties finding the parking (which is in the back!) The restaurant facilities and dining are immaculate! Very clean, well maintained and modern. The dining room is an open concept with lots of light from the many large windows. Outdoor dining is also available (weather permitting). My friends and I met early evening, so there was no wait. However, the restaurant became very busy quickly and the dining room was crowded prior to 6 pm. (Reservations might be a good idea). The service was exquisite! Our server was one of the best (ever). In fact, every staff associate I encountered was great. If I could give our server (too bad I don't recall her name) 10 stars, I would! My negative issues were the loudness and menu. Obviously, the more crowded the dining room became, the harder it was to carry a conversation. The menu is large and diverse, it has a full spectrum of selections that will, undoubtedly, please most everyone. Sadly, for someone like myself, it offered little. I like and prefer traditional foods with little additional items or variations. I highly recommend reading the entire description of a menu item you may consider, as most all the items I consider had many little twists; additions and variations I didn't care for. Luckily, one of my friends inquired about the "sliders" found on the lunch menu. Our server allowed us to order the sliders and this is what my friend and I had for an entrée. Again, seeing the popularity of Cazzy's, I am certainly the "odd man out" here with my review. I highly recommend everyone try Cazzy's for themselves. Be prepared for a large crowd and lots noise. Cazzy's is capable of hosting large and small groups. Cazzy's may not be the best venue for younger children( I didn't see any young children during my visit). Pricing is moderate to high, especially for dinner. Full service bar is also available and most everyone (except for me) was enjoying adult beverages...
Read moreTonight we, 2 adults and 2 children, were seated immediately, the atmosphere was nice, restaurant was clean and other customers seemed to be enjoying the place. We ordered, received our drinks, salads came, someone spilled a drink at the table behind us that splattered my pants and suede shoes. People spill things and it wasn’t a huge issue, so I didn’t say anything to the staff. They pushed two tables together beside us, 6 adults snd 3 children were seated. Our salad plates were removed and as we waited patiently for our entrees the 9 people beside us received their entrees. My husband mentioned to our waiter that we were there at least 15-30 minutes before that table was seated. Our youngest child had complained multiple times at this point that she was hungry and it was taking too long to receive our food. With exaggerated hand movements our waiter explained that she put our order in after our salads, because she didn’t want all of our food to arrive at the same time. My husband went to ask the bartender to have the manager stop by our table. Our food came, 2 plates, the 1 and at least 5 minutes after the first 2 plates arrived, mine came. The food was good, but no manager. By the time our meal was over my husband went back to tell the bartender we hadn’t seen the manager. She came out while he waited at the bar. She dismissed him and came to the table, told me this wasn’t normally how they operate, asked if we needed more drinks and walked away. She seemed abrupt and not concerned that we had an issue. The apology didn’t seem sincere, 2 minutes at the table and left as fast as she came to the table. Our first time at Casey’s was also our last. We spent over and hour and forty five minutes at dinner. Since at least 15 minutes passed after I finished my salad before the first entree landed at our table, I really want hungry anymore. With the tip our bill was over $185., the food and experience...
Read moreI'm saddened that I have to write this review but I need the managers to know how poor choices affect your business. My wife and I live several miles down the road and Cazzy's has become one of our favorite restaurants in Knoxville. We haven't gone out to eat as often lately but since we were in the neighborhood we decided to just go for a happy hour light drinks and appetizers. We have spent far too much money at this place to be treated so poor. It was a Thursday night around 6pm. Upon walking in we noticed it was busier than we are use to. The hostess took our names and told us it would be a 25 minute wait. 25 minutes turned into 45 minutes and we were getting frustrated. There were at least 4 empty tables on the patio where we asked to sit. When we asked about why we couldn't sit down, we were told those tables were for reservations. We were getting more hungry and knew if we had to go elsewhere we'd be waiting another 30min to an hour. In the 45 minutes we waited, had we been seated upon arrival, we would have easily been in and out before a 7:30 reservation ever showed up. I'm sorry, your staff should be better trained for this. If their reasoning for not sitting walk-in customers is because tables are reserved for hours on end for a reservation who may not even show up on time, this is an absolute joke. Whether the wait staff or a policy, if you can't sit a loyal customer for 30 minutes because of reserved tables, then post signs on your doors. I won't be back because clearly you don't want any more of our money. And for icing on the cake, we chatted with another couple who was heading into the restaurant and we asked them if they had reservations. They said "No" they had just called and were told there was NO WAIT. What!! I almost lost my mind. After the whole ordeal we decided to...
