This was our first & last time going to this restaurant. I was here for Parent’s Weekend at UTK. I ordered a drink and was carded. I did not have my id; didn’t think I would be carded when I am 54 yrs old and going to dinner with my 2 sons, 16 & 19 yrs. The server said I could not order a drink and offered to let me speak to the manager and see what he said. He came over to the table and said it was TN law to card everyone. When I questioned why no other establishment had carded me, how could it be a law, he said I could not order. We googled it and could not find anything that said everyone in the state of TN needs to be carded to order a drink. We only stayed b/c we were starving & tired after the game. We order and my husband orders a drink. A few minutes later, “Lucas” in the red shirt came barreling over to my table and said he had people watching me and saw me take a sip of my husband’s drink. I told him I didn’t need a babysitter. That’s when he said “Do I need to take this drink from you?”. It was appalling! The mgr was scolding a 54 year old woman who barely drinks and clearly looked well past 21 yrs old for taking a sip. The night continued to get worse with the waitress egging us on and then presumably going straight to “Lucas” who kept coming to our table sarcastically asking if everything was alright. He was very unprofessional and appeared to be taking great pride in ruining our night and also attempting to escalate the situation. The food was horrendous, sushi the worst I have ever had. Don’t get the crab ragoon roll. It was all breading with no flavor. Could not wait to get out of there, only to have my son throw up his whole dinner on the way back to his dorm. He had 3 sushi rolls, but I don’t remember which ones. Don’t waste your time or money on this place. A waste of $150. And Lucas- you need to find another job! We were just a family trying to enjoy a dinner out...
Read moreWent to drakes to get a late dinner with friends, got there just before 10:30, sign said to seat ourselves so we did. About 10 minutes later a waitress came to take our drink order, they were busy and we weren’t in a rush so no big deal. Someone else came and dropped off 3/6 drinks then someone else came and dropped off the other two. That person was in training and asked if we were ready to order at this point it was around 10:50. At this point I had still not received my bar drink. She was great no issues just a standard waitress in training. We ordered no issues at all. During placing our order I received the drink from the original waitress. She walked away to go put our food order in and told us food would be ready in 15-20 minutes. About 5 minutes later a guy came to our table (we assume the manager) and told us that they couldn’t make our food because their kitchen closes at 11. We explained to the manager that we were at the restaurant over 30 minutes before 11 and put in our ordered before 11. He then became very rude telling us to look around at how busy they were and that they couldn’t make the food. To which we said that we understand they are busy, but that doesn’t change the fact that we were there and ordered before 11. He then told us the food ticket was rang in at 11:02 which is past 11. Which again is not our fault, and people in training tend to be a little slower putting orders in which again not an issue everyone at the table has previously worked in food so we get it. He continued to be rude and aggressive so we ended up getting up and leaving. We will not be returning that manager was ridiculous and we would have been much more accommodating or understanding if he weren’t so rude. Definitely walked up expecting a fight, he probably knew he was wrong...
Read moreLiterally waited for almost 2 hours on a DoorDash order. The first dasher waited 45 minutes and talked with me the entire time then said they told him they already gave my food to a dasher even tho he was the first one assigned. He then leaves and another dasher is assigned and I assume the first one was speaking to a hostess or someone that didn’t know what they were talking about but before I can even speak to that one there’s a female assigned and she tells me they’re saying they’ve given my food to 3 different dashers to her. Which is impossible considering she’s the third dasher period. When I go to respond to the female dasher a 4th one reply’s and tells me they’ve given my food to a dasher. Now, while this would normally be a DoorDash issue, it most certainly wasn’t. If anything, it was merely the fact that they were close to closing and didn’t want to fool with it at all and decided to just tell them it already went out. I called the restaurant at this point and the “manager” says “is this Sumer? We told the dasher to contact support and let you know your order already went out.” One, I don’t believe that because none of the dashers said anything about that and someone definitely would have and two they didn’t give my food to any of the dashers that went there. They either didn’t make it at all or gave it to the wrong person altogether. The manager didn’t say anything about sending it out 3 times like they told the one girl either. And when I contacted him to fix the issue, he said “sorry the kitchens closed.” And ironically, I just got notified that the store cancelled my order and there was an issue with it! HA! Why didn’t they do that 2 hours ago so that I could have reordered it in time? Probably bc they had no intention of...
