I'm not sure where to begin. I love Hardees, and have since I was a kid. This is the clostest to my home, so I have been by many times, often hoping for improvement, but seeing none. Today was the last time I'll ever subject me or my family to this store. The poor service and food have been anything other than a one off. The store is constantly out of something (usually drink options) and the employees are awful. "What do you want" has come out of the speaker box more than once. I have never once been given a total at the box, and often have to repeat my order both there and then again at the window. I have spent 10, 15, and even as much as 25 minutes in the drive thru, only to get food that is luke warm or cold. I've been asked to pull around to the front to wait on a chicken biscuit, only to have to go in after waiting 15 minutes in the parking lot, stand in a line of 8 people, only to reach the counter and no one seeming to know my order was unfullfilled. I have always made an effort to be pilite and understanding, but today was the final straw. I again had to give my order twice at the box then repeat it at the window for it to be entered, not confirmed, to a woman who looked like she had just rolled out of the gutter. She was speaking in an abnormal, mumbling, and rapid pace reminiscent of my experience with individuals struggling with subtance abuse. I was able to understand about every 5th word and finally make out that they were out of Coke Zero. I stopped for a moment, shook my head and decided it was no longer worth the effort. As I drove off, I could hear "methanie" yell "he drove off cause he's mad over the coke." I'm not mad over the drink. I'm mad over the consistent contempt employees have for customers, the poor quality of food (even for fast food), and lack of accountability the managers and owners of this store have shown. I can scroll through the reviews and see similar experiences. In my younger years, I worked and ran several fast food locations. I know balancing labor and stock is tricky, but this store either doesn't have anyone who knows how to order correctly or lacks the funds to do so. It constantly appears short-handed, likely contributing to the problems. Still, I can't even imagine any of those stores remaining open or me retaining my job in a location with these types of ongoing problems. This is by far, and consisently, the WORST chain location in town that I've been to. Never...
Read moreWe came here for breakfast. And got a gravy biscuit, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and blue berry biscuits with extra frosting. With hasbrowns and large drinks with both. When we got to window to pay. We paid, and I asked for some ketchup. The "Karen" at the windows had an attitude and said we don't have ketchup. The truck hasn't come. And I grabbed my bag and handed it to my friend beside me, waiting on my drinks. She said, "What are you waiting on?" I said my 3 drinks, please. 3 large cokes. She turned around hateful and snatched up the large drinks, and shoved them out the windows. I asked for my receipt, and she said they were out of paper. I'm like huh what are you not out of?" While sitting there. I told my friend to check to make sure everything was in the bag. And she handed me my blueberry biscuits. I opened the box, and it barely had a dab of frosting. I showed it to the lady at the windows. And she was hateful and said, "That is our extra frosting." I was like, there's nothing on it. I didn't say anything else and just drove around the building and parked. I got out and went to the front counter. I told him I didn't get a receipt. And I showed the gentleman my blueberry biscuit and said I wanted extra frosting he politely grabbed the box and had them put extra frosting on my biscuits. I then asked him if they had any packs of ketchup. He said yes ma'am we do and handed me a couple of packs. And I'm like, wow, she couldn't take an extra step to the front to grab us two packs of ketchup from the front..? Where's the customer service..? So then we go to the car to eat our food. To our amazement, it was still disgusting. The biscuits were greasy and falling apart. The hash browns were fried to long and hard. And to my horror, my blueberry biscuit tasted 2 days old and it was crunchy and hard even with the extra frosting. I was sad. Let's just say we won't be back. I give 5 stars to the gentleman at the front for his customer service. But everything...
Read moreToday we had a very wonderful experience at this particular Hardee's location. The day started out with more of the same old frustrations at the Clinton highway store, one of the most poorly managed and operated fast food restaurants I've ever been to. Yesterday at Clinton highway for example, they ran out of biscuits at 9:15 a.m. and they ran out of egg and bacon. How ridiculous. Apparently they often can order right and the management is in question. Although they have some nice hourly workers there. Today one of our breakfast group of 15 went to the Clinton highway store and the lobby doors were locked! How ridiculous. One of us talk to a worker who was coming in who they let in to operate a machine. We were told that they didn't have enough workers and people didn't show up. again that should never happen. So we didn't know what to do and we decided to call the Western avenue store. That was one of the greatest decisions we ever made as a breakfast group was meant for between five and fifteen years amongst are 20 different. When we came to Western avenue we already felt that the operations went more smoothly. It was a cleaner restaurant and it appeared that all the workers got along together. We were blessed to meet Kim the manager there after her shift was done and we had a wonderful conversation with her finding out some commonalities that we had including several of our members who also grew up on farms. That personal connection obviously meant a lot to her and to some of our breakfast club. then we had the privilege to meet Miss Lily whose work for parties for nearly forty years! In fact she's probably one of the oldest fast-food workers in the entire city at a young age 80 years old. We felt valued as customer and valued as We feltwe felt valued as customer in as people and we will definitely be back to this...
