I just saw this post on face book....such a disgrace.
April 21st 2016 Ok now that I'm home and calmed down a little. This is kind of a lengthy rant.
To the management at the Strawberry Plains Tennessee McDonald's.
I was in your dining room earlier today when a younger man walked in and sat down he made a call on his phone, I am presuming to his wife. He talked in a quiet manner trying to keep to himself. I overheard his conversation that he was having. He was trying to explain how he had exhausted all of his attempts to find formula for their daughter. He explained he was now not sure if he had enough gas in his truck to make it home. So he pulled into the parking lot of the gas station next door. He came to the McDonald's with two dollars worth of pocket change to buy what looked like possibly his first and only meal of the day. As he ate he went on to explain that the VA was taking an extremely long time to approve any of his benifits since his medical discharge over a year ago. He spoke a somber I love you to his wife hung up the phone and returned to his dollar menu cheeseburger with no fries or drink. I was setting a few tables over eating lunch with my boy. I got up decided to offer some support. After some small conversation I learned he was in the support artillery brigade attached to my unit when I was stationed with the 65th Engineers. I handed him a $10 for some gas and I bought him a fry and drink to go with his burger. He was very reluctant to accept any offers of help from me even knowing we were "Battles". When I returned with his fry and drink the Management was not far behind as I set the food down on the table for him the management, a short black haired woman with a neck tattoo and very distasteful demeanor asked us both to leave. "WE DON'T TOLERATE PANHANDLING OR BEGGARS HERE!" She spoke this loud enough to attract the attention of every one in the store. I asked why I was asked to leave and she responded with "We don't allow enablers in here either". She then instructed him to give me back my money and told us to leave again or she would call the police. He gave me back the money and quickly ran back to his truck leaving his food behind. After I demanded a to go bag i grabbed his food and my boy and left. I was not wanting any more of this scene in front of my boy. Outside I caught up with the man in the gas station parking lot. He was now humped over on his steering wheel crying. I handed him his food and drink and told him to pull up to the pumps and I would buy him some gas. Once we got his truck pushed to the pump (empty tanks don't get you that far) I paid for $20 in gas and gave him the $10 back again for some help in getting formula for his daughter, I then helped him contact K.A.R.M and secured a place for him, his wife, and daughter to stay for a few nights. The unit we served in had a saying "Give up, Give in, Or give it your all!" As I told him this it seemed to lighten his heart a little. With a handshake we parted ways. I am ashamed of the conduct of your establishment. The unprofessional, and uncalled for behavior is deplorable to say the least if not repugnant. The fact that you'll kick someone out for having a hard time in life is outrageous. Then you expelled the person that was willing to stand up and help. I will not be back to that location if any of your locations ever again. This is yet another reason why fast food employees don't need or deserve a higher wage. If your going to act like trash you should be...

Employee turnover is crazy!! Mother and son own but don't monitor. Go to the bathroom and the dispensers, etc. Are torn off wall. Fairly new McDonald's relatively speaking. Have gotten over 15 orders wrong easily within a year and I don't visit here but maybe 15 times a year. I gave my results to upper management which got to the owners or whoever and I got some free meal cards. I PROMISED YOU THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED, AS I ORDERED FROM MY FREE MEAL THE EMPLOYEE ASKED I WONDER HOW YOU GUYS GET THESE. GUY DROVE INTO THE DRIVE THROUGH AND SAID I ORDERED A MCDOUBLE AN I HAVE 1 PIECE OF MEAT AND NO CHEESE. I said that's how bit they didn't hear me. I heard the lady in the back, new, ask for assistance on how to make my big mac....ugh, thank goodness he got it right. The owners said I am full of it because they have 3 QA/QC before food goes out. I have it recorded where they couldn't get my son's 4 piece mcnuggets right. 3 Pieces!!!!! That's when I got the couple "free meals". If your order is wrong I call them replacements. The place is horrible, the staff is absurd meeting with boyfriends in the middle of orders in store. The family obviously bought a store with no intention of running the place. I ordered food for my family multiple times last year and this one punk said every time "wow I can't believe your gonna eat all that". Are you kidding me?!?!? This is not even close to the discourse between me and employees and they talk between each other like.... well just use your wildest imagination.
There is a new larger man that is just the best at the payment window now and a woman with very short hair that always repeats my order and let's me know all extras are in the bag. They're the best!! As far as the "cooks" they are all the same with the same turnaround of no one experienced. Kudos to the 2 people that care. The gentleman taking orders/payment and the blonde direct woman that makes sure you get what you ordered.
As far as the owners, they will not believe you, as far as the other staff... just wait 2 days and they'll be replaced with another kid that can't make a sandwich. They QA/QC I am surprised I was told was in effect. The 2 genuine employees should run the place. Just don't go to the bathrooms because you can't get out without touching that handle and with wet hands if you can wash them with the dispenser off the wall.
I have been to McDonald's for nearly 40 years and worked for over a decade with an exemployee. You have to love it or hate it and apparently everyone here hates it so you get the backlash. I'm sorry customers but avoid this place and hopefully something better will take it's place. There are 2 other McDonald's within 2 miles either way you go so just avoid this one like the plague and hopefully those 2 real workers will find management or positions where their talents are warranted.
Sorry but even your vouchers showed me the place is in disarray. Forbid...

On the way to Sevierville, we stopped to grab something light around 1130. We pulled to the window and was asked if our order could be taken. We ordered three chicken wrap meals, two crispy and one grilled, two with large sweet tea, one with coke. Seems simple, right?
The employee made an error which we saw on the screen and we politely corrected her. The order was attempted again and it was displayed incorrectly again. We politely corrected her and she responded over the speaker "it's okay, I've got it. Pull around." When stopping at the pay window, the person (looked to be a manager by dress) said $29. My wife just handed the debit card over without thinking and I said "hold on a minute, there's no way three wrap meals are $29." She corrected the ring up and it was $22 (~$7 per head with the drink upgrades).
I asked my wife to pull over to the side and check the order because I knew it wasn't correct after all of the bull$%^& we went through. We pulled over to the side and sure enough, we received two grilled instead of two crispy meals.
I wanted to go into the restaurant and "share my experiences," but my wife advised against it because I was mad. So, here is my advice:
Don't act like it's a problem to change your CUSTOMER'S order--that's why the order screens are at the drive-thru and why you ask is everything is correct.
I can see how these dual drive-thru windows can be confusing--but it's your job to get it right. Especially the manager.
Actually get the order right at the pickup window--evidently, the employee who "had it" during order entry, didn't. And, we didn't get what we ordered.
You guys want $15 per hour--don't forget you have to PERFORM at that level to get a higher wage. It shouldn't be handed to you because YOU think you deserve it. From what I've seen, no one at this McDonald's...
