Great food, service was quick. Restaurant was very clean.
I ran into several issues with the staff: 1.) They wouldn't let me put the toppings on my burger myself, and were really rude about me going into their special grill garden cause I didn't have a shirt like theirs or something. b.) Despite making several burgers they wouldn't give me one until they said my name even though I was standing in front of every body else. Seemed really disrespectful and churlish as people deliberately reached around me. 2.) Someone approached me while I was trying to go into the bathroom! Said I had to leave the tray and food at the table UNSUPERVISED if I was going to go tinkle. I don't know how much I trust that Caleb boy when I asked him watch over my food like a proud mama hen looks after her chicks, but all the fries were there (I checked). 4.) Several of the staff kept yelling at me every time I picked up the napkin dispenser to try and shake more napkins out of it. A very nice young lady brought me several though- I guess she was used to being bullied for shaking the dispensers too and kept some stashed away just in case. Bless her heart. 5 BIG WARNING: THE FREE REFILL POLICY DOES NOT APPLY TO THE FRIES OR BURGERS apparently. That's how they get you in there is false advertising. ii.) Even trying to leave I was harassed. Some lazy bus boy expected me to clean up my own table, but lord help you if you put the wrong thing in the wrong place (I put the tray in the trashcan- like I was suppose to know you throw everything else away but stack the tray on the others at the top).
In all my seventy-three years on this earth I have never been treated so poorly. I was so upset I spilled fries all...
Read moreI was approached by a coworker to order from this place as the images that were on the website looked amazing. We gathered a total of 8 people to order this food. Over 8 burgers and fries were ordered with much anticipation when the food finally arrived our mouths were watering. Upon opening our boxes one by our smiles turned to confusion as we realized non of our orders were correct. The was an obvious poor performance of the assembly line who ignored request and simply slapped a patty on a bun and barely managed to get any of the toppings in the box not even on the middle of the bun but barely touching the edge. Second, everyone was missing requested modifications. Additionally the buns were all crushed and smashed as if purposely damaged. The lack of care for such a large delivery order is ridiculous as any business should have recognized that if a customer orders 8 meals it would be in their best interest to nail the order right so they can increase their chances of receiving a future order. Sadly everyone decided that we would not ever order from there again. Sad that they missed the mark! The taste of the burger was however average not bad but also not great. As I have had food that has had a poor presentation but tasted amazing. These burgers could have been very good had they been assembled as ordered and not smashed but life is too short to give them a second chance where there many places that I rather give my money to that I know will get my order correct. So See-ya Moo-ya. BYW the gimic of the name is stupid in case corporate reads this. This franchise will shut down if they don't get things together...
Read moreFOOD POISIONING! 6/7/2025 visited Kingston Pike location near West Town Mall, Knoxville, TN. Food was average, service a little on the slower side. Ate without incident. Morning of 6/8/25 I woke up violently ill and nearly passed out from pain. My son called friend who also ate at Mooyah at the same time. They were sick also. The only commonality from which I can determine the infections and resulting illnesses were from either the meat and/or sweet potato fries. As sick as I was, I should have gone to ER. However, I was unable to move or go anywhere for about 6 hours. Several people suggested I call Mooyah. On 6/11/25, I did called location to find out how many other people got sick and what food borne bacteria (salmonella, e. coli, etc.) might be causing symptoms. I asked to speak to the manager. Person who answered phone identified as the manager. Although I have my doubts. I let this "manager" know we had become ill and asked if anyone had become ill and what the cause might be. Manager said no one reported being sick and then he asked me what he should do about it. I let him know to tell their employees to wash hands and follow sanitary procedures to prevent anyone else from getting sick. I don't think the "manager" really took what I said seriously. It is 6/12, 5 days after eating there, and I am still not well - mostly dizziness, and stomach not feeling right. My rule is if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything. However, when it comes to subjecting the public to safety issues, I had to speak up. Has anyone else...
