I love love love the Red Dragon sushi roll. It is the only reason I go here regularly. They have great sushi and appetizers. Everything else on the menu is sub-par. They should really revamp their menu, shorten it, or stick to sushi and apps.
The service here is usually really bad. They are quite lazy and rarely come to the table, often times they disappear into the back for long periods of time. The wait is usually really long because they don't understand how to optimize seating and service. I've seen my table's sushi orders sitting on the counter ready for 20 minutes before our server noticed and brought it to the table.
When I've gone with friends, we have waited for 2 hours before we got it food (this had happened to us on 5 or 6 occasions)... With maybe one water refill and when we get our food some of it is cold.
Some of the waiters are so lazy and rude. They make passive aggressive comments or joke about how they can't wait to go home. A lot of the time, they will disappear into the kitchen for 30+ mins.
The manager is really nice and often picks up the slack of her employees. I feel bad for her, but she should really look into hiring more competent servers.
I've been going here for about 3 years, and last week was the first time I had a good server. She was newish (been there for a couple of months), prompt, kind, and got everything correct. This place has the potential to be a really good restaurant if they revamp their menu and hire more...
Read moreI saw this restaurant across the way from another restaurant i just tried out.
So, I tried it out the next time I came through.
I came on a Wednesday around 6 pm. to find it a busy place, so I hopped up to the bar. The first person met was Alexis behind the bar with her warm personality and smile. I also noticed how she would make everyone welcome not only taking care of the bar patrons but also helped with waiting on tables as well. I ask the same questions when I go to a new restaurant. Do you have gluten-free options to see the reaction. To know if I can trust them or not. Through the years, I can tell if someone knows what I'm talking about or not.
Alexis happily but warmly assured me she has celiac and knows exactly what I'm talking about. This brought my guard down immediately and felt safe eating at this restaurant.
I ordered the Padi with tofu, nuts, gluten-free noodles, and sprouts. The sushi chef was making fresh rolls, so I got a veggie roll with avocado, steamed rice, and seaweed.
I loved the meal, and portions are large, so I always take half or more home.
The second time I stopped in, I got the other dish and loved it as well.
So, this is my new favorite place when traveling through. And Alexis is pretty cool, too.
Would I recommend this restaurant? Absolutely
Would I return? Absolutely and doing it now. I rarely return to restaurants more than once, but this one I do
Thank you,...
Read moreTerrible service & terrible food...I wouldn't give any stars if I could. We walked in, and was told to sit anywhere we want... but all the tables were dirty with leftover food crumbs and liquids. We had to go back and ask the waitress if she can wipe a table down for us. There were no customers but us, which makes me wonder why all the employees were sitting at the bar on their phones while there were dirty tables and floors. We wanted to turn around and leave, but thought we'd give it the benefit of the doubt... Maybe the food is good, so we thought.. We ordered a sprite, a water, pho and some sushi. The food was bad. The pho tasted like instant noodles with alot of instant beef paste. Not even 5 minutes after we received the food, we also received the check. There after, the waitress never came back to check on us... our cups were empty. We waited, thinking she may come back so we can pay and ask for a refill. Instead, after waiting for a long time ... watching her sit at the bar touching her phone and carrying casual conversations with her co workers, we decided to walk up to her at the bar counter with our empty glasses and our bill to ask her for some refill and to pay. She had the nerves to grabb a pitcher from the counter and was about to fill the empty glass I was holding. She was so unprofessional that I declined her for the refill. We will never come back to this place ......
