Sergeant Pepperoni's Pizzeria - Bearden — Restaurant in Knoxville

I have visited the Bearden Sgt Pepperoni's twice: the first time with a group if five and the second time at the bar by myself. On the first visit, my pizza had burnt edges and burnt, I assume cornmeal, on the bottom. The burnt edges and undercarage made the pizza taste aweful. I only remember speaking with the waiter twice on that visit: once to place my order and then to receive the check. During my second visit, I sat at the bar. I ordered a Yuengling and a 10" pepperoni with light sauce. The beer wasn't flat but it did taste watered down. I have been drinking Yuengling for years and the flavorful body of the beer was sevierly lacking. The pizza tasted fine but it was dripping with grease. Too much even for a guy in his mid 20's. The bartender made zero small talk. Besides me, there was only one guy at the bar. I was amazed at the level of silence that existed. After sevel minutes of waiting, I resorted to playing on my phone until my pizza arrived, ate it with continued silence from the staff, then paid for my meal and left. Pizza places, let alone ones that have a bar, are suppose to feel welcoming and have a certain joy to them. I felt downtroddened while eating soggy pizza.

On a side note: between my visits at the Bearden location, I did visit the Sgt Pepperoni's on Seven Oaks. I had great conversations with the staff and the pizza was perfect. I give that...

Went in on September 3rd 2018 with my wife and 2 sons. The food was good but we had a miserable waitress. She was rude to me when I asked her if our appetizer would be out before to pizza, I told her thank you when she brought the appetizer out and she did not reply, I asked for a box to take what was leftover of our pizza and she brought me a small styrofoam box so I had to ask for a 2nd box, I asked her for a drink refill before I left and she filled it up halfway. The worst part was shortly after we left my son realized he left his prescription sunglasses on the table. When we went back and asked her about them, she told him that any customer belongings left behind were thrown away. She then preceded to show him the trash can and he had to dig them out. Absolutely the worst customer service I've ever experienced. We will never consider this...

This place has really great pizza. The crust is soft and the toppings are plentiful with tasty cheese. Yeah, it is more expensive than Papa John's or Domino's, but it's also tastier pizza. I normally don't even eat the crust on a pizza because it's just bland bread, but a Sergeant Pepperoni's pizza has awesome, tasty, soft crust as part of the cheese and toppings blend over onto the crust. I bought a pizza with veggies and meats; both types of toppings were fresh and tasted great! I normally hate veggies on a pizza because they normally taste funny because they are probably not fresh or whatever. If you want to have a good tasty pizza I would try Sergeant Pepperoni's. You may pay about $2 more here than at Papa John's or Domino's for the same pizza, but Sergeant Pepperoni's Pizza is in a league of it's own compared to...
