Taziki's Mediterranean Cafe - Knoxville / Bearden — Restaurant in Knoxville

Waited in line 15 minutes to place order. After waiting another 10 minutes for the order to arrive at the table the order was completely incorrect. The lady that brought the food to the table was very rude and said the girl at the register is new, but you can go back and stand in line again, order again, and wait again for our meal. She made no attempt to correct the order or do anything to help. She further stated that she would make sure the manager refunded the first order. I told her I was not interested in standing in line and waiting another 25 minutes because of there mistake. My wife and I decided to leave. After walking out, it occured to me that I better go back and get a copy of the refund that I was told would be issued. I reenter the store to find out the refund hadn't been issued. I was then speaking with the manager when the rude girl that brought the order came over and blatantly lied saying she didn't say we could go back in line to reorder. The manager finally issued my refund. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Worst customer service ever. I have been here many times, I will admit that the food is great. But we will never return after the way we were treated by the staff.

Update: After asking me to email them, which I did, "Because they wanted to make it right", As I expected, they didn't even respond. It now makes sense that your restaurants horrible service must start in the home office, pitiful customer service. You have transformed me from one of your biggest fans to one of your biggest...

The food is always delicious but we’ve been twice on Sunday evenings in the last month or so and the girl working the register (Anne-Marie) has been turning down orders starting after 7:00-ish (they close at 8:00). The first time we ordered for dine-in around 7:20 and she grumbled and tried to push us to order take-out - we told her we would eat fast. Several other people came in after us and she told them they would have to get take-out and then she locked the doors around 7:45 - she walked by our table and said, “I’m locking the doors, I’m tired of people for the night.”

The next time we called around 7:15 to order a carry out order and it was the same girl. She wanted to make sure we would be there before 7:45 to pick it up and when we were there to pick it up around 7:30 she turned away another couple.

Just something I feel like the owner should...

I rarely ever complain about experiences but this one didn't sit well. I noticed on the website that they had pints listed but didn't have one for the roasted potatoes. I asked the lady at the front counter if they had them. She said yes but wasn't sure how to ring it up. A man I am guessing was the manager proceeds to ring it up. For 2 containers of roasted potatoes and two sides of rice I was charged $34. Make it make sense. I thought the containers must be bigger or something and went to the table. They weren't they were normal size pints with barely luke warm old potatoes and old rice. Some of the potatoes were burnt as well. If me and my daughter weren't hungry I would have demanded a refund. There isn't a lot of places to eat that are good food allergy wise but this one will definitely be marked off the list. Extremely disappointed.
