Great Wall Buffet — Restaurant in Kokomo

Two weeks ago our family enjoyed dinner for the first time together as my daughter and I just moved from Seattle to be closer to my mother. I left my stainless steal water bottle behind. The elder of the family who was bussing the tables collected it and held it for me to collect the next day. Two weeks later, tonight, our family visited for dinner again. Again, the elder of the family was tending to the tables while their youth ran around. Later this evening at home, my mother realized her bracelet, given to her by her late husband on this date years ago, was missing from her wrist. I came back and was greeted by the grandson on the computer as the family was closing up for the night. I want to thank you, the elder woman, who found my mother’s memory bracelet, kept it safe, and gave it to me to bring back to her. The bracelet is worth some money, but it is the memory on this date at this time that made her act of kindness a beautiful wave of love through our family. The food is good, but the culture represented is confused! It is a Chinese restaurant, but they sell Japanese anime themed Keychains and even played a song from the anime series InuYasha Kagomes lullaby, to be exact. There is one lady who collects the dishes while always wearing a mask. That lady is why I rate four stars. She always seems mad about something and just acts like she would rather be anywhere else! You can almost feel the hatred radiating from this lady! There are plenty of nice Chinese ladies around... maybe you should hire one of them instead. This lady absolutely destroys an otherwise amazing atmosphere! I don't mean to be rude!! That is not my intention, but every time I come here, I see this lady, and her negative vibes just make my second favorite place to eat only beat by Elwood Taco Bell, much less desirable. It's like My girlfriend and I know we want to eat at Great Wall, but the thought of this masked lady makes the decision much...

I have eaten here several times and continue to do so... That being said the place is kind of hit or miss. And I feel like that mostly depends on when you decide to dine here. Lunch or dinner... Just getting there as they first start either the lunch or dinner because the spread is simply more fresh. Certain things are changed out for lunch and dinner. For instance if you like butterfly shrimp... better come for dinner time because they don't put it out at lunch instead replacing with cod. The front in staff always seem nice enough but the older lady that restocks which I assume is perhaps part owner... She seems very unpleasant and also seemingly annoyed at guest just doing what they are paying to do. It's not a bad option but has room for improvement. Especially because they recently raised there pricing. If you're going to charge more then change things...
