I’m not sure what happened to this place but we didn’t have a great experience and this is the first time we had horrible food from there. Our coney’s had a ton of ketchup in the sauce which they never do, they replaced them with sauce without ketchup and the buns were soggy and the sauce had the consistency of overcooked beans. I immediately felt sick. My parents also complained about their’s not tasting right. It costed us over $32 for what we got and we didn’t get that much. They also want to charge close to $10 for a hamburger. What in the world? I hate seeing this place go downhill after it being such a Kokomo favorite for years. The new owner really did this business dirty. We won’t be returning and will start going to Barker’s on Markland for now on because at least it tastes like the original and have better prices! Good luck to this...
Read moreThis is a fantastic drive in style diner. The homemade rootbeer and Coney sauce alone are worth a stop. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the speed of the food was great, and the waitress didn't even seem annoyed I forgot to leave my window up a bit for the tray.
The coney dog wasn't drowned in sauce, which I appreciated. It's able to be eaten without adding chili stains to my car. She asked if I'd like onions (of course), bit it's nice they're optional/offered.
The rootbeer was refreshingly sweet, lightly carbonated, and served in a cold glass mug for a large. Considering it was just $1.75, I assumed the mug wasn't to keep. I returned it with the tray because I most definitely will return and don't need my picture on the wall for might thievery.

Read moreI recently visited Rupert’s B&K Root Beer in Kokomo, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The hot dogs were served cold, which was a big letdown. The service also left much to be desired; the staff, who were quite young, came across as unfriendly and uninterested in providing good customer service.
On a positive note, the building itself was well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment. However, the quality of the food did not live up to what it used to be. Given this experience, I’ve decided to switch my loyalty to the B&K on Markland in Kokomo, where I hope to find the consistency and service that I remember.
In summary, while Rupert’s B&K Root Beer has a nice ambiance, the food and service need significant improvement. I won’t be returning and will be heading to B&k on Markland...
