I really enjoy grabbing B & K, BUT it seems like the past month or so the food itself is coming out burnt or the hotdogs/buns look and feel like they’ve been sitting out all day long. My jalapeno cheese curds (that are almost $5) were so burnt, they hurt my teeth to eat & most of them didn’t even have the cheese in them because they were so over cooked. It’s just very disappointing.. I don’t mind paying the prices but I do think something needs to change because it’s unacceptable to pay for this.

A nice drive-in restaurant on the northside of Kokomo. It seems to be a very popular place among the "Kokomo-ites" and I can see why. Root beers, hamburgers and hot dogs at reasonable prices with friendly service in a nicely retro atmosphere. The french fries were especially good. The ice cream is worth trying, as well. What's not to like? Pro Tip: You can eat in your car but if the weather is nice, why not make it a picnic at nearby Northwest Park?

Ever since Dennis left this place has really gone down the toilet. Paid $6 for this “tenderloin” which was actually just fried breading, and somehow took 20 minutes to cook. The waitress was very off putting and felt like she was trying to turn it into a sales pitch. Guess I’m only going to Barker’s from now on.

I’m not sure what happened to this place but we didn’t have a great experience and this is the first time we had horrible food from there. Our coney’s had a ton of ketchup in the sauce which they never do, they replaced them with sauce without ketchup and the buns were soggy and the sauce had the consistency of overcooked beans. I immediately felt sick. My parents also complained about their’s not tasting right. It costed us over $32 for what we got and we didn’t get that much. They also want to charge close to $10 for a hamburger. What in the world? I hate seeing this place go downhill after it being such a Kokomo favorite for years. The new owner really did this business dirty. We won’t be returning and will start going to Barker’s on Markland for now on because at least it tastes like the original and have better prices! Good luck to this...

This is a fantastic drive in style diner. The homemade rootbeer and Coney sauce alone are worth a stop. The prices are incredibly reasonable, the speed of the food was great, and the waitress didn't even seem annoyed I forgot to leave my window up a bit for the tray.

The coney dog wasn't drowned in sauce, which I appreciated. It's able to be eaten without adding chili stains to my car. She asked if I'd like onions (of course), bit it's nice they're optional/offered.

The rootbeer was refreshingly sweet, lightly carbonated, and served in a cold glass mug for a large. Considering it was just $1.75, I assumed the mug wasn't to keep. I returned it with the tray because I most definitely will return and don't need my picture on the wall for might thievery.

If you're anywhere nearby to Rupert's, you owe it to...

I recently visited Rupert’s B&K Root Beer in Kokomo, and unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. The hot dogs were served cold, which was a big letdown. The service also left much to be desired; the staff, who were quite young, came across as unfriendly and uninterested in providing good customer service.

On a positive note, the building itself was well-maintained, creating a pleasant environment. However, the quality of the food did not live up to what it used to be. Given this experience, I’ve decided to switch my loyalty to the B&K on Markland in Kokomo, where I hope to find the consistency and service that I remember.

In summary, while Rupert’s B&K Root Beer has a nice ambiance, the food and service need significant improvement. I won’t be returning and will be heading to B&k on Markland...
