Went to lunch here with a friend on her recommendation. We arrived around noon during the week. We parked on the street. We tried to enter the business, but the door was locked and an outside faucet was leaking water. I was confused and called the restaurant. A recording said they were open. We drove around to the back of the building (a nice outside patio, back entrance, and additional parking) it looked closed. We saw a nice lady working in the food truck. We explained our dilemma, she said they were open and would check the door. We pulled around to the front again. This time, I saw the main entrance. Please put signage up on the door that you can't enter to use the main entrance. This is a bar that serves food. The entrance is light and bright. There are several hand drawn murals that decorate the walls. The eating area is spacious, bright, and clean with several types of seating. There are several high-top tables, a couple of regular tables, and lots of bar seating. Pool tables are in the back. Our waiter, bar man greeted us, took our drink order, and suggested a couple of appetizers. We looked over the menu, which had a variety of options. I didn't see any prices on the menu, which I found odd. I am impressed with the different types of hot dogs offered (I would order one next time). On this visit I ordered the brisket plate with two sides (coleslaw and fries). Plate included a nice slice of smoked brisket. It was perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and tender. The coleslaw was refreshingly light, no mayo based sauce. The fries were shoestring fries, not fresh cut fries as I envisioned. A side of white onions and pickles accompanied the meal. My friend ordered the brisket sandwich with homemade chips. The sandwich comes either on a homemade bun or homemade bagel (3 different flavors to choose from). My friend chose the bun which was light and perfect for the sliced brisket and sauce. The chips were homemade and fresh. I would order the chips next time. Portions were good size and filling. A side of sauces is also brought to the table, which includes two types of barbecue sauces. Both sauces are delicious. The brisket is some of the best brisket I've had in Idaho. It reminded me of Texas barbecue. I would definitely recommend this place when your in the mood for good barbecue. This place is a nice addition to Kuna. Upon leaving, I noticed additional outside patio seating. While we were there, there was a steady stream of customers and several...
Read moreOver the years, quality of customer service and quantity of food has gone down. I gave this place an additional 3 times with various groups of friends.
Each time I have gone in, there is something more to add to the list. First it was the lack of care and kindness of the staff to waiting about 30 minutes before getting in a food order and receiving our drinks. When our drinks came, most were the wrong drink. When we got the food it was an additional hour and an order was missed completely and no bacon on the meltdowns and about half the pulled pork that was one them the visit prior. Another time I ordered a meltdown and again no bacon, so little meat I could see the bread under and it was a regular bun rather than a bagel. The server didn't state they were out of the sliced potatoes and gave us tater tires without asking or informing. Also let 2 people order panhead and waited till everyone else food came out, over an hour later, to inform them and ask if they wanted something different.
This place was amazing pre-covid and even more so during covid but post covid, I'll likely never go back and I most definitely share my experiences.
I am unable to respond to the reply for some reason. I appreciate the response and I will give you a phone call. That being said, I did voice my concerns when I was there. I didn't mention anything about the way you cook your proteins. I agree that you should keep doing what you're doing on that front. 2 of the times were moderately busy and the last time we were the only ones in there until we got our food.
Additionally, I have been in many times when it's absolutely packed, and I have had great service and great food with no mistakes. I can't say that is true with these last 3 most recent visits. Are you saying that when it is busy, I should expect what I have...
Read moreWow, just wow! After a great night, why not celebrate with great food? That was our plan. We were recommended Big Mic's and told that they had amazing food. I am sure that the table that was served our food enjoyed it and that it was amazing. After 2 hours of being in the restaurant and waiting an hour and a day for our food we finally were served food, not the food we ordered, most was cold and some of our party was not served food at all. The waitress was very sweet and apologized multiple times for the inconvenience and the issues. We asked to speak with the manager as to wanting to get the situation resolved we were informed that the manager on duty was also the owner I were pointed to where she was sitting at the bar drinking we asked the server to have her come over and were informed that she was told by the manager/owner to handle it herself. We stated to our waitress that we wanted to speak directly to the manager as this was a management situation when the manager came over she was very confrontational with our table. Would not accept that they did our order incorrect Her breath smelled very strongly of alcohol. This is not a restaurant establishment that I would recommend to anyone. I am sure that their food is very delicious when it is cooked and served properly. The way that the owner/manager handles herself, establisment and treats her employees leaves a lot of room for improvement.
In response to the post that you have placed on here regarding me. I would love to talk to you. Also I was not one of the ones that your wife spoke to that night. Also my debit card will show proof of the cash I pulled from your ATM and paid to the server. Your server did an amazing job and was in tears at our table over the way she was treated by your wife. As far as alcohol and food goes, I didn't drink any nor did I finish the cold food...
