Boba Boba - La Cañada — Restaurant in La Cañada Flintridge

Just picked up an order I placed. Bad service from the start from the night staff. She didn’t acknowledged me as I was walking in. Mind you, I was the only customer in the store. When she finally looked up, she seemed bothered that I was there which was odd as I was the only person waiting. Didn’t bother to ask if she can help. To top it all off, I showed her my confirmation text but it wasn’t enough for her. She asked for my order which was again pretty unnecessary as the only take out waiting was mine which was on the counter. Unpleasant experience as a repeat customer who is a longtime resident of La Cañada.

3.5 Real Score -- I've been here a few times mainly because it's close by, and overall I would rate this place as a good boba spot, but not spectacular and not necessarily high quality. Being in the San Gabriel Valley, we are spoiled by tons of amazing Boba shops and this one will definitely hit the spot for the local crowd. This saves a trip all the way down into Alhambra or San Gabriel or even Old Town Pasadena, but most of those places would beat this spot on flavor, quality of tea, and texture of boba. Don't get me wrong, I'm still going to come here because it's only like 2 miles from my house and it's still is a satisfying drink. While there is a HUGE Asian population in the La Crescenta/ La Cañada area, there are very few Asian dining and dessert options, so I was glad to see that a new boba shop with a name that I'm familiar with opened up in this area. Excited about the fact that we didn't have to drive 30 minutes to Ktown for good boba and tea, my girlfriend and I got the jasmine green milk tea with dragon boba and the dragon strawberry blend with honey boba. The boba was very flavorful and soft (10/10), but the drinks were average at best. The boba here is definitely better than what other boba shops in the area offer, but we couldn't help but be a little disappointed.
