It's hard to find good sushi in LA so we were pretty happy to find Haruka. The rolls here were all a good size/portion, fresh, and tasty. They have an extensive menu as well so there's something for everyone. So glad we found this place through Yelp!

Hot Green Tea ($3.50): Free with Yelp check in. Great quality tea to wash down the sushi.

Garlic Edamame ($6.50): I was excited for this appetizer but the edamame was too overcook so it was mushy and the skin was melting off. Not a great texture for sure.

Baked Dynamite ($12.50): Wow this was super good! I don't usually like the tiny scallops but this one was amazing. It didn't feel heavy either and was the right amount for us to share. This was the best dish of the entire meal and just chef's kiss.

Garlic Albacore Roll ($18.95): Big roll. Fresh albacore. Great flavors.

Lobster Tail Tempura Roll ($23.95): Beautiful presentation. Big pieces of lobster tempura in the roll and outside.

Burukurabu Salmon Wrap ($20.95): These were pretty fresh but can fall apart easily.

I had a business lunch at Haruka Sake and Sushi last month, and the meeting unexpectedly lasted longer than an hour. The wait staff continued to provide exceptional service throughout, and never interrupted our business conversation. Haruka hosted a perfect lunch menu that exceeded expectations. Our service was akin to having lunch at a top steakhouse in New York, where they know how to serve a business lunch. Let's not forget the fresh sushi and tranquil vibe that really impressed. If you're looking for a great restaurant for a business lunch, they are OPEN for lunch, even on Monday's (many restaurants are closed on Mondays in La Canada Flintridge, or don't open until the dinner hour. In fact, this is a wonderful option for a date night, girls night out, or a family fun night so your pre-teen can ignore you while posting Instagram worthy...

Of all the sushi spots I’ve had, Haruka does an exceptionally amazing job at serving fresh fish to you. The restaurant is well lit and the ambiance was very comforting. It was a jolly good time!

Food: amazing! All the dishes tasted fresh and delectable. My personal favorites were the uni shooter and the blue crab handroll. The uni shooter was a mix of all things oyster shots and tenfold - it looks like a lot but the flavors mesh so well with each other leaving a nice vinegar sour and delicious aftertaste. The blue crab handroll had no gaminess and tasted heavenly.

Service: great! Everyone was so pleasant and they went around making sure we had all the dishes for us. They went around with waters and cleared plates immediately after we finished....
