Inexperienced employees. Employees can’t tell you what the difference is between a latte, cappuccino and a macchiato. Why do they always ask “hot or cold”? A latte is a hot drink. An iced latte is a cold drink. I ordered a house blend and they asked “hot or cold”. If I wanted it cold I would have ordered an iced coffee. The woman seemed shocked when I didn’t want room for cream and sugar. Some people actually drink black coffee. I’m guessing this is a business started by someone who thought it would be cool to have a coffee shop and who actually knows little to nothing about coffee. I’m not sure why people think this place is good. Numerous times my coffee has tasted burned. I’m guessing they know nothing about optimal brewing temperatures and times. They wouldn’t know single origin or pour over if you asked them about that either. I’m pretty sure most of their employees pronounce it expresso instead of espresso. Get a clue. Stop trying to be something you very clearly aren’t. I’m wishing La Crosse had a...
Read moreI come here for their chicken Alfredo soup, it is so good but a little pricey. Whatever. I also ordered a cinnamon roll muffin. When I got my soup the muffin was not also in the bag so I figured it was forgotten on accident but that it was paid for based on the amount I was charged. The girl working never added it to my ticket so I wasn’t charged for it. Not sure how this was missed. So I pay for the muffin which was $4.50 and I thought that was insane for a muffin that was refrigerated and most of it was stuck to the wrapper. Cinnamon rolls are warm so I figured the muffin would at least be room temperature. It was not good at all and has me wondering if it is supposed to be served cold? Total...
Read moreVery little consistency when ordering the same drink over time. In the past, I'd gotten a pumpkin latte that tasted absolutely awful, like flowers and today, I order a French toast latte and again- disgusting. Consistency is very important to customers. We don't want to worry that our drink will be completely nasty when it's cooled down enough to drink. If drink recipes are confusing, make a recipe book. I've worked in my fair share of coffee shops and we all had recipe books. Super-disappointing to pay over $5 for an...
