Great place. Showed up at 12 on Saturday May 19 to keep my wife and I's wedding anniversary beer tour tradition going. Started at the bar. My only negative critique is the bar could be longer and have more seating. They do have additional seating at tables and off to the side, but i like the feel of sitting close on a barstool and to stare at the tap handles trying to decide my next beer. But reading the plaque on how the bar was made gave it more character. Also love how you sit right next to the brewing equipment.
Since I love almost all beer I couldnt make up my mind so our nice bartender explained how their flights work. Love the pricing, flight glass holder, the beer cards, and the opportuinty to try 8 or 16 beers. I loved the cards that gave descriptions and had quick scan links to rate the beer on various apps and websites. These need to be handed out with every beer with hope the customer drops it off at a bar outside of La Crosse to get the name out.
Then the tour. Amazing. Chance was our guide. The guy is great. We only had 4 people in our group but he made us feel at home. At first we thought the tour was going to be super tiny since you could see everything from the bar. But we saw the 3rd floor, 2nd (bar area), and basement. Chance did a great job getting every little fact in, explaining the equipment, and getting us involved with questions. The 2 best parts of the tour was just hearing all the brewery history, some local history and then seeing the old school bottler machine. Props to whoever runs the thing.
Had a great fun time. Will be sure to drink more PSB if i find it. My favorite was the Me,...

"A charming brewery with an impressive selection of beers on tap, but one that holds a special place in my heart is El Hefe. I would proudly introduce this beer to friends and family, declaring it to be the epitome of perfection, especially considering its local origins. Even non-beer drinkers would take a sip and admit its allure. Imagine my astonishment when I finally tasted El Hefe from a can. The shock rendered me speechless. Let me be clear, I still have a few of the older El Hefe brews, made before the recent changes. The disparity in taste can only be described as the death of its essence. The new version is a diluted remnant of its former glory—a lamentable state. Consequently, I have decided to cease purchasing El Hefe until this beer regains its...
Read morePearl Street brewery is a pretty cool little brewery that moved into the old La Crosse boot factory; it's dark and industrial with low ceilings. They have lots of space with a little outdoor beer garden. They generally have 16 of their beers on tap with a few that well distributed. On my last stop they had lite, a lime, Brown, chocolate strawberry porter, orange hazy IPA, Hopped IPA, Pale Ale, amber wheat, hibiscus sour, citra IPA, Oat Stout, an aged sour, Belgian Quad, margarita sour, a double IPA, and a cucumber seltzer. The service and the patrons are friendly. It is worth a stop and you may catch a band on the...
