We were blessed to have had our daughter and son-in-law’s wedding dinner at Pogreba’s just last evening. From the initial phone call and visit with Kaley to the settlement of the tab; every step was a delight. It was not just a meal, it was in every sense of the word a delectable celebration! We were a small group and sadly smaller than anticipated due to unforeseen circumstances, but Kaley and her crew were understanding and accommodating through every adjustment. We had private space as we were in the mezzanine. It was beautiful. Kaley’s attention to detail was evident. From the appetizers through dinner, the food was as we always expect it at Pogreba’s: beautifully plated and more importantly, DELICIOUS! Consideration was graciously given for dietary requests/restrictions and to our three youngest guests. Thirteen guests dined on the Filet and every single steak was served perfectly as ordered as were all entrees. There were no gaps or lags in service and there was just the right amount of time for camaraderie and conversing. The support and guidance the staff at Pogreba’s clearly receive is evident in the pride they have in the work they do. Dan and Duey were FABULOUS! They were very knowledgeable and professional and so fun! There are not enough superlatives to express appropriately my gratitude for the wonderful experience Kaley and the staff at Pogreba’s...
Read morePogreba has been a favorite of ours for years. It's where we go to treat ourselves on special occasions & we've never been disappointed, until we went there last week to celebrate our anniversary. I ordered the tenderloin tips & my husband ordered a ribeye (our typical order unless London Broil is available). My tips were delicious, very tender, almost too tender. I ordered them well done & they were literally crumbling - I could cut then with a fork. I'm not sure any well-done tenderloin would do that? The gorgonzola cheese sauce was delicious but there was just too much of it. Did I complain? No. Did I eat it? You bet! I'm not about to waste my food, but the cheese sauce was so good, it just didn't need to be so overpowering. My husband's steak was almost 1/3 wasted with grizzle & fat. He normally would eat more of that than the average person, but this was too much. When the waiter came over to collect our plates, he noticed it & mentioned that sometimes ribeyes can be like that. Agreed. To a point. For a $46 ribeye, I would expect more though. This definitely will not deter us from returning, and we will still refer Pogreba to anyone looking for a wonderful dinner experience. I'm just offering some honest feedback from our...
Read moreGracious and delicious! My wife and I called in on Tuesday(August 18th) evening to check to see if Pogreba was open. They were and we arrived at about 7:30pm. We were greeted warmly and seated promptly. Our waitress was cheerful and patient as we made our decisions about something from the bar. Little did we know, as we relaxed in our cozy booth and looked around the lovely dining room that their official hours were only until 8pm. Our waitress returned with our dinks and reviewed he featured entrees and soups. We made our selections and continued to enjoy. At no time did anyone from the restaurant mention that they were scheduled to close at 8 nor did we fell the slightest bit rushed along. Our dinner was terrific ( Pogreba is consistently very good!) and we also ordered a dessert to go once we learned that we had kept them almost an hour past their planned closing time. We offer our highest recommendation and sincere gratitude to the entire staff for the grace and hospitality we were shown on Tuesday night. We had a wonderful experience. We look forward to sharing our experience with others and we look forward to returning to dine with...
