I forgot to post this about 2 years ago now, the topic just came, talking with my bf why i decided to bring up on the reviews. when came to get away and hanging with a friend at the time, who know currently my partner, Also tried staying a different times, I wouldn't recommend this place due to the consumer service. Place was some what decent, until they kicked myself and two other people I was hanging with, out cause we wanted to try stay again few months later, thats when they told us no you cant cause you been banded and kicked out of here not aloud to stay here, for what l they called stealing, which they fausly accused us stealing when we never did. We try asking what we stole they couldn't give us a straight answer, period. I know we didn't take anything that didn't belong to us, other then whats in the room for guest to take home with them after there stay . We had a bunch towels through out are stay, from swimming and showering and when we need more we always put a pile of the towls in front of door so they would be able to take to laundry. But that's stealing to them when we put our towels we used out when there as we needed more, and took the other ones out to the hall so wouldn't be in our way. So I won't give at least the lacrosse wi location my business and if u do watch your backs. If I could post no...
Read moreI paid to stay at the Super 8 on Rose St in La Crosse, WI to be a safe and responsible adult for my partners birthday yesterday. They took my money for the hotel room on March 17. When I went to check in at 3pm yesterday, March 26th, AFTER they already took my money, they told me I live too close and live within a 50 mile radius of the hotel. I could not stay there because of this. I have 2 people who witnessed this interaction with the front desk people. I am filing a formal complaint with the company. This is something that could've been checked by the Super 8 Company PRIOR to my check in and BEFORE taking my money. They apparently don't communicate by email either, so you have to do everything over the phone. Any company, in this current day in age, I would assume communicate's via email.
Super 8 should be checking the addresses of their bookings BEFORE taking any kind of money from their customers. I will not be staying at the Super 8 anymore OR at any of the hotels highlighted in orange in the image.
I was given a sheet by the front desk of the hotels/motels in area that do the same thing. If anyone wants this information, feel free to reach out and I'll send you it.
What a joke this place is. I will be buried alive before giving this place another penny of any money.
I'd give this place 0...
Read moreGood place to stay for a night. Would not want to stay much longer than that. Room was on the small side. We could hear floor squeak from people moving around in room above us. A/C worked well. Room was clean, no mold in bathroom, however there was some base molding coming loose from the wall/tub area. The bed was comfortable. Staff was friendly. I thought the continental breakfast was adequate. Appreciated the good pastries since we were in a hurry. WiFi was lacking. We were near the end of one of the wings and could not get a good enough wireless signal on either my laptop of android tablet. Had to sit in lobby to go on-line. Ask for a room near the office if WiFi is important. Or bring a cable to hook up with, they had lots of female USB outlets in our room.
If you have a dog with you, beware that they charge $25/night for Fido. This is a bit on the high side from what I have experienced in the past at other hotels. Most charge around $10 to $15/night. They do tell you up front about this fee both on-line and on the phone.
They also charge a $2/night environmental fee. First time I have seen that done. This fee is not mentioned when booking on-line. This is one of those fee's that may some day cause them...
