Cattleman's Roadhouse — Restaurant in La Grange

Now I realize that two stars is a low rating but to be honest if my past experiences there hadn't been so good tonight would have been rated a half of a star. We came out as a family tonight to sit down and have a nice dinner at a place we had previously been too and had good service and good food but tonight when I say we waited for two hours for our food on a Tuesday night with it being slow that is is about as bad as it gets. The service was subpar, and I'll leave when we come there the server will check on you multiple times well tonight that was not the case at all. Attack on us one time during the whole two hours that we that were there waiting on our food and when she did manage and bring me another sweet teas there was either no ice in it or if it had already melted. Finally after 2 hours of waiting we decided that we were done and we were about to leave when I finally brought the food out we asked for them to mediately take it back and put it in a to-go box which they did. The manager was kind enough to knock $100 off of our total bill which was originally going to be over $220 which was nice enough but then we get our food leave and get home and go figure I ordered a steak medium rare and it was overcooked. The reason that we were giving for the delay was that the cook's got behind tonight, I look around the restaurant and there is a bare minimum 10 to 12 people in there. Ordered food online for take-out. Besides a steak and my side dish, I ordered a side salad. I waited a few minutes after I arrived to pick up my order. Once I received my order, I headed home. Once I arrived home, I discovered that they did not give me my side salad. I don't live that close to the restaurant, so going back to pickup my salad was not an option (my food would have been cold by the time I would have left and then come back home). I contacted the restaurant, and they were apologetic. They asked if I would like to come back to pick up the salad (again, that wasn't a feasible option). They asked if I would like to speak to a manager, which I did). A manager by the name of George spoke with me. While he also offered an apology, he really seemed not to be sincere for the mistake (he made me feel like I was responsible for this situation). By this time, I will admit that I was starting to let my emotions get to me (but I didn't rant, rave, yell, scream or even get very loud), but I did express how disappointed I was with the situation. George said that he would refund me the cost of the salad, but he never asked for my name (even though I offered to give it to him). His words "no no, we've got it taken care of." Well, 4 days have gone bye, and no such refund has been issued. This is leaving me with a very bad taste in regards to this Cattlemens location. I came to eat here with my family a few weekends ago and the food was fine. Now me and my partner came back up here to visit Louisville and the food was subpar at best. My steak was entirely flavorless and fries were cold. My partner could say the same about their steak. Waitress seemed to be in a very off mood, which kind of ruined the experience. I work in food service so I understand the stresses of it but me and my partner were giving 0 problems to our waitress so I didn’t really understand the cold shoulder attitude. Our meal was $100 in total not including the tip we left. I think if they lowered their prices and maybe took some time to make their food taste better it would be worth it. It was $30 for my steak and singular side and as I said, it was completely tasteless. I had to add stuff to my steak for it to even have flavor other than just a plain meat taste. Which in my opinion, if it’s a good steak you shouldn’t have to add things. All of that being said the drinks were great! Bar staff must really know was they’re doing, definitely recommend their alcoholic drinks. About the service our waitress didn't really interact with us much. She took our orders, and brought the check. Didn't check up on us, ask if we needed anything, or ask if we wanted desert.
