5/28/25; it's been almost a year since we last came here, it has not improved! Our server Abigail was good - the food, if they hadn't run out, was mediocre at best. At 7:30 they had already run out of fried chicken, chicken and dumplings, campfire pot roast, and other items. I ordered the chicken strips (because no fried chicken) which were not as pictured at all and just warm - not hot and fresh, menu notes 6 and I got 5, the mashed potatoes and gravy were barely warm and very stiff, chicken fried steak was also just mediocre and warm. Didn't see a manager anywhere entire time there. They just don't improve and are subpar at best. Absolutely will not go to this Cracker Barrel ever again! I'll drive 20+ miles to another location versus this one 7 miles away. Aug. 2024; 3 of us went in for late breakfast. 1 section was closed and the other 2 were maybe half full. We placed our order after about 5 minutes and then waited, and waited, and waited. No communication from the server or the manager though we tried to catch our server a few times, no drink refills, nothing. We waited 50 minutes! We went to the register to pay for our drinks where we explained the situation and advised don't worry about paying for the drinks and the cashier apologized for our wait. Not the first time this year we've been in and extremely slow. We left and went to Waffle House where it was busy but we were waited on, served, and left in under 35 minutes. Jan 2024 - seated immediately at abt 11:30 today, service was so slow I almost took root to my chair. 10 min to get our server & order, 30 mins for our breakfast order to arrive. Server was very friendly but the service was really lacking. I see the mgr between kitchen and front but he never checks in his customers. And why is every Cracker Barrel so dang cold in winter time, always have to keep your coat on to eat! 2023; dined here evening before and lunch after Thanksgiving Day, both times a great experience. Though busy both days the service was great as well as the food. Day before was a limited menu but still enough choices to find something appetizing, tried the chicken fried steak and again not disappointed. Country fried chicken, my favorite, on Friday perfect. Both servers were fabulous! Did have a 20 min wait Friday due to low staffing, but time to browse Christmas sales! 7/15/22 - not a great experience. A 10 minute wait to be seated and not that busy, however an additional 5 minutes before our server showed up. We ordered our drinks and our meals, when the one drink arrived the glass was not clean, still had remnants of food on it, when our server arrived with waters we advised to nix the drink, then waited approximate 20 minutes for our meal to arrive - and had to ask for silverware. The food was good, though the biscuits were a bit flat, have not been disappointed in the food.

When I say this is one of the absolute worst dining in experiences I’ve ever had, I mean that whole heartedly. To start, it took us over 25 minutes to get our drinks. When we finally got our drinks, all of our glasses looked like this (pictured below- and no, this is NOT frost, and the glasses were coated in it, it felt grimy). I still cannot believe I even drank out of it, if I get sick I will know where it’s from. I looked around, and this was what everyone’s looked like. They were also out of silverware when we asked for them to eat our biscuits and there were no small plates to eat our biscuits on so we used our napkins. My father was annoyed at this point and asked to speak to the manager. The manager goes on to discuss an issue with the dishwasher. If you cannot keep up with dishes and/or clean them properly, the establishment needs to be shut down. Now we’re at an hour being there and to make matters worse, all of our food was either cold or absolutely disgusting. No one ate more than 2 bites. The icing on the cake was my father never even received his food after multiple promises of “it’ll be right out.” I understand the short staff issue going on right now and I try my best to be patient, but this was absolutely unacceptable. The cleanliness was what did it for me. I will not be going back, and I hope someone sees this and fixes the issues and honestly if I can’t spare someone from a wasted meal and a wasted $40 I will. Please do better.

WELCOME TO THE SOUTH! We stopped here to have a bite to eat after a very long road trip. Upon exiting our vehicle, we got swarmed by hordes of cicadas in the parking lot. When I wasn’t paying attention, one of the red eye beasties flew into my truck and for the love of cheese, I couldn’t get it to leave. When our server, Addie stopped by our table and kindly explained the delightful swarm that sounded like a NASCAR race outside and that every seven years they would rise from their slumber, dig out of the ground and wreck havoc on everyone. I told her that my son took one of their blunt butter knives to retrieve the beastie that burrowed into my dashboard. She just laughed and said, no problem, I’ll bring you a new one. She was the kindest and most attentive server I have ever had. She suggested a veggie plate since we were both vegetarians and the broccoli 🥦 and carrots 🥕 were the best veggies I’ve eaten in a very long time. The biscuits and corn bread were good too! The okra, mashed tatties and fried pickles 🥒 were good, but not like the carrots and broccoli. In case you’re wondering about our retreat to my truck and the cicadas, we managed to exit unscathed. The end!

If I could give this location negative stars I would. I came with a group of individuals with disabilities for a birthday outing, there were 9 total. We were seated at 5:20 pm. We placed our drink order and food order shortly after. An hour later the waitress came and checked our drinks, which were empty by this point, and said our food should be right out. Another 30 minutes went by and the waitress came and stated that were out of mashed potatoes and asked what we would like as a substitute. We substituted fries and baked potatoes. Another 20 minutes went by and they started to bring the food. The waitress could not match anything up. After passing out some of the plates we stated we were still waiting on the baked potatoes. The waitress went to the kitchen and came back and said that they were out of baked potatoes and asked if we would like any substitutions. At this point, everyone was more than halfway through their meal so I declined. We had empty glasses again at this point. She refilled them after waiting again. When we arrived we had asked the waitress if they did anything for birthdays, she stated they would have cake, icecream and sing. When she came to check we asked her if she could come sing then, she brought the cake placed it on the table and ran back to the kitchen. We asked for the checks when she came to check again. She said she would return and after waiting another 30 minutes without her returning I noticed the manager at the table next to us. The lady was complaining of her service. The table behind us all complained of their service. When she was done speaking the other guests, I got her attention. She gave the nastiest look and when I explained the situation she was off putting and non chalant. She said she would check on it and when she finally came back to the table she stated the waitress was ringing them in and she had forgetter who she needed to update. Flash forward to going to pay, all the checks were incorrect and staff at the registers had to get the same manager to come and assist, who again was non chalant and at that point rude. They stated that they had left off a side salad and drink and wasn’t worried about that check. We finally left at 7:50 pm, almost 2 and a half hours total spent there. Once back home and reviewing the craziness of the checks we noticed they were still incorrect. We called to Cracker Barrel where the same rude manager answered and when we explained that there was a receipt that was still wrong she stated that she couldn’t do anything and that we shouldn’t use individuals with disabilities in order to get free things as she already have is a discount…. The side salad and drink. No one asked for discounts, we just have to expense items so they need to match up. The manager was rude, unhelpful, and nasty to make that kind of comment. Worst...

I dropped by today to have an early lunch today before I headed to the hospital for chemo because I wanted to check out there new menu items that looked delicious online. Typically a meal like this is rare as chemo has taken away my appetite but I started a new chemo and my appetite is back full force lol I haven't visited for a few months, I dearly love the nostalgic feeling of walking inside cracker barrel after dining there for decades. My server "Paige" warmly greeted me and made me feel at home like I was sitting down to have Sunday lunch at my late grannies house even though Sundays were mostly fried crappie, and some kind of wild game with gravy and rice, biscuits and whatever kind of veggies available; usually cooked with bacon or fatback. She brought me a sweet tea with lemon and I was ready to order after looking over the delicious new menu options and sides. I've been wanting some good fried chicken for a while and while I typically don't eat fried food these days I was ready to give in to my craving along with fried okra as usual and coleslaw which I think is also new but not completely sure. The food was brought out promptly, the portions were perfect, the okra was hot and fresh out of the fryer, the 4 piece chicken was perfectly cooked; crispy, hot, and tender, the coleslaw was crunchy and rough cut, not ground into tiny pieces like kfc; exactly how I love it, perfection. The biscuits were hot and fresh. I was in heaven or as close to heaven as I possibly could be, the food was amazing and I couldn't of been happier. The manager with the kindest soulful eyes was making his rounds through the tables making sure everyone was happy with their meals and everyone there was just happy as a clam and as a long time customer it made my heart melt. He visited my table as my food arrived and checked to make sure I was satisfied but I hadn't tasted anything yet but 20 minutes later after I voraciously devoured everything I could I was so pleased and satisfied with everything, the entire experience that I waved him over and told him how happy I was with the food and that I was really glad he was here because there was such a huge difference in the staff and the positive energy of the customers, everyone was happy to be there, there was pride on the faces of the servers knowing that the food was amazing and the customers were happy. He was just the kindest and I could tell he just truly wanted the customers to have the best dining experience possible and he truly knew the customer is what matters the most; because it keeps us coming back again and again and in turn it keeps the employees and their families fed. Paige was a gem, warm, happy, prompt and I hope next time I come, she's there as well as the amazing new manager with the huge kind smile that made me feel like I'm sitting at my grannies...
