At long last, Oldham County has the finer dining establishment we’ve all been waiting for. Palermo’s is the place where you leave the kids at home and indulge in a night of culinary brilliance. From the moment you walk through the door, the experience is nothing short of exceptional. The chef and staff have perfected the art of delivering an unforgettable dining experience, making every visit feel special.
The ambiance is a harmonious blend of warmth and sophistication. Rustic decor sets the scene, while soft ambient lighting and smooth Brat Pack tunes gently playing in the background create the ideal setting for an intimate dinner or a relaxed evening out with friends. The vibe is elegant yet welcoming, striking that perfect balance between upscale and cozy.
Palermo’s menu is a tribute to Italian-inspired cuisine, showcasing dishes that emphasize fresh, high-quality ingredients. Every bite reveals the care and craftsmanship behind each dish.
The carbonara is a rich, creamy masterpiece—perfectly balanced and indulgent without being overpowering. Meanwhile, the lasagna is a standout, even better than my mother’s (but don’t tell her!). The Palermo’s pasta, with its vibrant spinach and pink sauce, is a refreshing yet flavorful choice that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. And then, there are the garlic knots—small, bite-sized treasures served with a marinara that is bursting with fresh, robust flavors. Each dish is carefully crafted to make you savor every mouthful. Other delicious dishes we have had include fettuccine alfredo, baked spaghetti, and my husband’s favorite, Sicily pasta with Italian sausage and pink sauce.
For a night of true Italian-inspired indulgence, Palermo’s sets a new standard in the area. Whether it’s for a special occasion or simply because you deserve an exceptional night out, this restaurant is the culinary destination Oldham County has been waiting for. Palermo’s doesn’t just serve food—they offer a dining experience that leaves you eagerly planning your next...
Read moreI ordered delivery late 9/1/25, the delivery was great, BUT.... I have taken photos of everything I got! It was disgusting! From rotten black pieces of lettuce, and there was dark purple colored greens but these were black and slimy pieces, then even the regular lettuce was black around edges, AND it is sitting all in a half of in of water, I believe, I hope.. The piece of Tiramisu that I paid nearly $9.00 for was a blob of melted something because it was put on top of the HOT entree..one can't even identify what it's supposed to be. It's still warm, the dessert. Then the bread, asked for dipping sauce on the side, it came with NOTHING, and it was raw in some of the corners, and soaked in oil, one could just squeeze it and out would come out of it, I tried one bite and it was raw. Now, let's get to that so called entree, the pasta was just gummy, and slimy, and it had a strange taste to it, took a bite, that's all,the eggplant seems like it was never breaded and fried, but it seemed plain pan fried with some mushy breadcrumb tossed in between the see through slices of eggplant, which also had a like a burned oily taste, I would call it slop! I left everything as is, and because the restaurant is closed, by the time I got it unpacked, and went over it, couldn't call. This bill was nearly $50 its ridiculous what I got for it, 2 bites to taste it. Rest is all sitting there ready for me to return it tomorrow. I am beyond upset over this unacceptable food that I got tonight from Palermo's, it was the 1st time I've tried to...
Read moreAfter some initial confusion regarding our reservation for a large party, Palermo's jumped into action. It was a busy night and they got us seated as quickly as they could even though some of our party was running late due to traffic on 71...no surprise there. The server was attentive and patient as we enjoyed each other's company. There was never a sense of urgency for us to eat and move on which I really appreciated. I was the only member of the party who had dined in before and the rest of our group, which included two who are very proud of their Italian heritage and love to cook, definitely agreed that the food was really good. I heard mutterings from my Italian of, "I'm surprised, the gravy (sauce) is really good." The pesto salmon was found to be delicious and the GIGANTIC calzones were enjoyed by multiple members of the table. I had the eggplant parm for the second time. It is done very nicely. Only ding the food got was the clams in the seafood Palermo the diner felt they were a bit on the rubbery side. He said the pasta was really good otherwise. The cost for dinner for twelve was extremely reasonable for the quality of food we enjoyed Thanks for a great experience, it was a nice time to spend...
