To preface, I created an account just to review this specific Wendy's, AND this is coming from a former Wendy's employee. To continue, my husband, his best friend, and I were traveling down I-71 and happened to stop by around 6:30pm on a Saturday. (We literally just left). All three of us rarely eat fast food, but when we do, like on road trips, we go for the best square burgers around. I am writing this for my husband and his friend, as I waited outside with our puppy while they got a couple meals to go for the duration of our road trip. Not only did the woman in front of them have to wait 15 minutes for a kid's fry while the fry person stood there looking off into the distance, but my husband waited a full 5 minutes before someone even noticed they were waiting at the counter. The young lady taking dining room/to-go orders started the exchange by asking about my husbands shirt (it had an owl on it) and proceeded to tell them a long winded, and unappreciated, conversation about how she loves animals and her dog. Then, when they were FINALLY able to put in their order (we got a medium #1 combo, and two 4-for-4 meal) she continued to converse with them about how "glittery" their credit cards were while a line of people behind them waited to be served. It took A HALF AN HOUR for us to get our food. Apparently, it seemed as if there wasn't even a manager around, let alone an adult in charge. And it also appeared as if every single employee was high of some kind. (Glassy eyes, slow behavior, VERY odd language and conversations, the fry guy redid one order of fries 5 separate times because he couldn't get it right). I am more than okay with someone recreationally using marijuana, but it's unacceptable to show up to work high - no matter your place of employment. Our fries and hamburgers were old, cold, mushy, and dry. Now, I never mind a wait at a fast food joint because I've personally been in the middle of rush and struggling to get food out to everyone in time - especially around dinner time. However, while looking at the other reviews for this location it's obvious that this isn't the first nor last time this has happened to customers. I understand it's fast food so I shouldn't expect perfection, but dear God at least give a damn about how you treat the people you were hired to serve. I'm not even looking for a smile, because it's not a happy job all the time, but all we expect is some common decency and some hot, greasy grub from the Wendy's we...
Read moreFlies everywhere. They got my order wrong and when I went to the cash register there was no one around. I told the people in the back my burger was wrong and they looked at me and then turned around. I'm not a soft spoken person and I made eye contact with four people who all ignored me. When the cashier returned she asked the line cooks to make me the right sandwich and they refused. After they argued they finally agreed to make my correct order. The bacon on my burger was cold and crispy - like it was very old. One of the employees came out of the kitchen on her phone and laid down on the bench next to our table and talked on it the entire time we were there. The restaurant was dirty, and smelled. We stopped on our way north during a road trip. I have nothing nice to say....
Read moreA little flustered that the door is broken but went to lobby thinking it was open, since there was not a sign up to say otherwise. Then a voice from behind the counter loudly states the lobby is closed and door is broken. Wondering why a sign was not posted and why staff feel compelled to loudly state across the room, I am not as hungry as I thought now. I can only assume it’s because there was a long single line and staff may have been flustered getting orders, I hope that is the case. Unfortunately 7 customers, I did stop a group that was about to walk in and reiterated what staff stated, they like myself decided elsewhere would be preferable at this point. What a hassle in attempting to get a frosty but hopefully some fast food place has a lobby...
