McDonald's in general usually has crappy enough service but this is extra. We went to get a double quarter pounder meal and nuggets, first they forgot the fries that went with the meal. Had to go inside and wait at least 10 minutes to get them. We get home about 5 mins later and open the food to eat and the fries are super limp and soggy. We just chalked it up to McDonald's being McDonald's but it didn't end there. My double quarter pounder burger tasted funny the second I bit into it, and I thought it was probably burnt or overcooked, but once I had eaten about half the burger I realized that there was something weird sticking out if it. I looked closer and saw some of the wax paper packaging that the raw burger patties come in was still attached and had been cooked with the burger!! The cook never took the papers off, just slapped cheese on top of the paper followed by the other patty. This was why it tasted weird!! We called and told them about the orders of limp fries and the burger, and the manager Jessica explained that it was "just the papers that separate the patties when they receive them" and acted like it was no big deal. She offered to replace the food but we just wanted a refund at this point. We went in to get a refund and had to wait a long time again because apparently she was on her break and the other manager on shift supposedly couldn't give us the refund. She eventually came out and helped us, but she did NOT give us a full refund!! Only partial, not even half!! I also asked her what kind of packaging specifically did I end up eating, because certain ones like bleached or wax parchment paper contain dioxins and other toxic chemicals and I wanted to know if I should be concerned about getting sick. She said it wasn't anything to worry about because it was the papers that touch the raw meat patties and they wouldn't be toxic. After doing some more research on this I'm not sure if I believe her. I feel very badly because my husband recently had a stroke and today’s is my birthday August 16 and he wanted to get me breakfast . so I can finally rest on a day off..
And disappointedly we didn’t receive the order correctly . My husband noticed when he got home his order was wrong.😣
I reached out to management at the McDonald’s on Beach Blvd la Habra spoke to Sonya tried to explain the situation
Sonya management response is breakfast is over. I’m sorry, with a really bad personality / attitude this is and poor customer service. I informed Sonya that I did not want money back. I just wanted the correct order my two sausage muffin and again she gave a really bad attitude over the phone Unprofessional. I stated while breakfast is over and we can’t give him his sausage muffin. What do you want me to do?
A person like this doesn’t need to be under management if she can’t give customer service and act professional with some kindness and understanding,
Especially no compassion to someone that just had a stroke a few months ago Ian’s just geeting some nourishment our family desires.
Sonya does not need to be a management at all. Management is a person that is kind patient understanding. I believe customers are always right, even though some of them are wrong but still standby customer service especially when representing McDonald’sz

Before I start, I just want to say that I used the McDonald’s app. They have some good deals and it’s best to just order on the app rather than have them take your order. Most of the staff is working the kitchen to get the orders out for the drive-thru folks. Service could improve. I walked up to the counter and no one was there. I got looked at but it was because they were getting drive-thru orders out. Wait time - less than 3 minutes Standard presentation. Burgers were in their designated boxes. Big Mac was a Big Mac and the Quarter Pounder was a Quarter Pounder. I love the fries… (don’t judge me) and the Coke is always so good. Kudos to the Manager/ Shift Leader who had on a full plate. Worked the register (afterwards), brought out food, and was by the Drive-Thru. Dining room was a tad busy with the locals but plenty of available seating. Restaurant was clean. Dining Room needed a light sweep but with all the patrons… it kinda makes it hard. Restrooms needed love but some maintenance workers were taking care of things. Parking lot was clean. Not a lot of parking because of the Sam’s Club Gas Station that’s right next door. You might need to park across the way if no parking is available. This one is located next to a Sam’s Club.
