Best place ever! I recently found out I am diabetic but I've heard such amazing things about the pudding so I tried some sugar free. Well, it's a new recipe and it seemed it didn't turn out so well because it was very watery. I didn't want to complain but having never had the pudding from here I didn't know what to compare it to. After speaking with a few other people via Facebook and asking about my watery pudding someone tagged the owner. He messaged me and offered me a refund and explained it was a new recipe and he was still working out the kinks to try and make a good sugar free pudding. So the next day I go to the store and he gives me a refund, while there my wife wanted some non sugar free pudding and he gave it to her on the house! I offered to pay, I mean he literally just refunded me and I was still holding the cash in my hand but he said it was okay. He also said once he works out the kinks in the sugar free recipe he will let me know so I can try it! Even though I haven't really been able to have the pudding from this place the owner is one of the kindest people I have ever met and I will surely be returning when he perfects his sugar free recipe!! I just feel really bad it didn't work out with the first batch of sugar free but I will never say anything negative about the owner or this business because he is...

After seeing the teaser featuring this place on today’s news, I was moved by the owner’s story of having invested his life savings into opening this business–only for the pandemic to happen shortly after the opening. According to the news, the recipe he uses is his grandmothers (who has passed)—and he dedicated his startup in her memory. We make it a point to support locally-owned small businesses, and so after having perused the website and finding different flavors of banana pudding—I asked my boyfriend to go pick some up for us to try. He brought back original banana and red velvet banana puddings. Neither a banana or pudding fan, I still urged him to try it with me. Needless to say, we started on the red velvet banana pudding, and after the first spoonfuls, it ended up HIS.

The banana pudding here is PHENOMENAL. I have never, ever tasted better. It smelled fresh and had a whipped consistency about it—“fluffier” texture than your typical banana pudding. The nilla wafers were just right—spongey, not soggy. The red velvet pudding was a perfect fusion of flavors. I have absolutely no doubt that once people discover just how lucky La Mesa is to have this new gem open up in town, that business will expand in no time.

I will definitely be ordering for groups, family, and just myself in the future! Absolutely...

Hello Extraordinary Banana Pudding,

I recently had the pleasure of trying Extraordinary Banana Pudding, and it was an absolute delight! The creamy texture and rich banana flavor were perfectly balanced, making each bite a heavenly experience. The pudding was smooth and luscious, with just the right amount of sweetness. It truly lived up to its name—extraordinary! But the deliciousness didn't stop there. I also indulged in their Red Velvet Cake and Oreo Cookies Banana Pudding, and they were equally impressive. The Red Velvet Cake was moist and velvety, with a perfect hint of cocoa and a luscious cream cheese frosting that was to die for. Every layer was a testament to the baker's skill and attention to detail.

The Oreo Cookie Banana Pudding was a delightful surprise. They combined the best of both worlds: the classic crunch of Oreos and the gooey, melty goodness of oreo cookies. Each bite was a symphony of flavors and textures that left me craving more. Overall, Extraordinary Banana Pudding offers a dessert experience that is second to none. Whether you're a fan of banana pudding, red velvet cake, or cookies, you'll find something to love here. I can't recommend it highly enough—it's a must-visit for anyone with a...

Man. When I walked by this place, I thought, "Bannana pudding? You can't make a business off of banana pudding." The I walked in (you know i was craving some bananapudding), seen the dope art on the wall. Then I met the owner, who was super chill and cool. But then I saw the pudding. For real, I got to admit it, I was very underwhelmed at first glance of the product. Little containers of pudding, just doing their thing in the fridge. But there were some interesting ones in there, like the purple pudding. But They also had cupcakes and ice cream, and I think I saw a pie (idk about that one. My eyes play tricks sometimes...) I picked up a banana pudding, and before I left the owner let me try a scoop.... that was it, dude. This is real. It tastes like that old school, homemade, "back in the day." And daaaamn it was good. If I wasn't flying out of the country in two days, I would have bought 5 different flavors. As I'm writing this, I just tasted the ice cream. He really put his foot in this food, y'all. He told me it was his grandma's recipe. As Soon as get back to the U.S. I'm going back there to try more. Everyone go get some, it's extraordinary!

I am so happy to have discovered this nearby treasure! If you’re a banana lover like me, you’ll LOVE IT!! Absolutely loved the energy and flavors of this place. The owner spewed out welcoming and passionate energy throughout my visit. I was a bit skeptical but he quickly provided my friend and I samples of the Banana and bread pudding. Both were absolutely delicious!!!! We decided to take home Strawberry and Banana flavor. Both were creamy with FRESH banana slices and FRESH wafers!!!! Strawberry had fresh Strawberries and if you’re a huge fan of tres leches, you’ll LLLLLOOOVVEEE IT. It tastes exactly like that middle part of tres leches. We noticed that it wasn’t on the menu on the front too, the owner may try different flavors from time to time?? Totally plan on trying some others next time. The happy hour $2 off special was the cherry on top of my visit!!! :) 11/10 TLDR: Banana girl approved

After following Extraordinary Banana Pudding on social for a while now, finally drove to try it out. So glad I did! They have a wide selection of flavors and some vegan and gluten free options too. I picked up four flavors: red velvet, chocolate chip cookie dough, banana bread and the classic banana pudding. My opinion, go with the classics! So delicious! I loved the classic and the banana bread flavor. The pudding is airy and fluffy, and so flavorful. Hit the spot! Love seeing this local small business thriving.
