These guys make a great burger! I had the double cheeseburger for $12.50, which came with two juicy American Wagyu smashed patties, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese pickles, a secret sauce, on a toasted soft butter glistened potato bun.
I asked Sarah to see if they could possibly temp the beef at about medium, and even though it was a smash burger, they were very close and medium well. Either way, the American Wagyu patties were delicious and left that quality beef flavor that lingers on the palate. I liked that the patties had a good crispy exterior but remain juicy and tender on the inside, not to mention very flavorful.
The burger's ingredients were all fresh and quite good. I went light on the sauce to better experience the flavors of the beef, and it worked. The house sauce was very good, too. I really liked the toasted potato bun. It worked really well on this burger.
As I was eating the burger, I realized that beef patty was smaller than what I am used to, but the quality was outstanding, and I was okay with that. Oh yes! I also had an order of onion rings, and they were just grand. They were crispy, well seasoned, and actually had whole succulent onion rings inside. They were great for dipping in the house secret sauce.
The service was provided by "sarah," who was very friendly and helpful. Great service! I can't wait to try some of their...
Read moreFirst of all…we are huge fans of Swagyu Boss! Our first experience with Swagyu was in O’side at the very missed food truck. We followed that truck & loved every burger out of the truck. We also loved our experience at the PB location twice & told anyone & everyone they had to try. Today we happened to be in SD & drove a little out of the way to get our Swagyu fix that we have missed for ever a year! We arrived at 1 pm. We weren’t sure they were open & was happy they were initially. However, I am sad to say we were underwhelmed. We both ordered OG Wagyu at $23 each. Made one a combo for the yummy fries & a canned soda. First, I had a hard time getting over the fact that 2 of the 3 servers kept combing their fingers through their hair…gross! Even if they aren’t cooking my food or technically touching it…they are touching glasses & every person knows combing your hair 99% of the time strands of hair fall out; 2) Once we got our 2 OG burgers & order of fries we had to ask for another tray. Young man was friendly & brought us another tray quickly; and 3) The burgers were really salty. Not what we expected from prior Swagyu experiences. There were 4 servers & no one checked on how we were doing. We obviously knew they were pricey & willing to pay but this time it just didn’t seem worth it. Yesterday was day one & there are going to be hiccups & we...
Read moreWe tried this new burger spot as we were really excited about the great reputation this place has at other locations. Unfortunately the food took an hour to arrive (we were 1 of 4 tables in the entire restaurant, and no more than 4 tops), and when we got the burgers although they were flavorful, they were very salty! Which wouldn’t be an issue if u weren’t paying $20+ each burger. But , the worst part of the experience was the young ladies behind the bar and serving tables. They were so confused, appearance was unprofessional, took 20 minutes for a cup of ice because the girls kept forgetting as we just sat back and watched them both repeatedly be on their phones, playing with their hair, hanging around talking and just standing around doing nothing, finally the young man that brought the food went back and got the cup of ice. There is great potential with this place, but the untrained and unprofessional looking and acting staff is going to be a huge deterrent for guests. I don’t believe we’ll be returning because the service was...
