Looking for a local place to eat that wasn't a burger chain, I found this to be the first decent looking restaurant in the immediate area. I'm glad I stopped because I was very impressed with their awesome menu items, as well as their large selection of beer - they offer specialty, domestic, AND craft. The service was professional and friendly. The atmosphere was casual and filled with families and social groups alike. They have indoor and outdoor seating and some of the inner dining area is allocated to the nicely stocked bar. I had the Chelsea(?) Melt which was delicious and complimented by gourmet pickles (which I love!), and my friend had one of their very generous and juicy burgers. Great atmosphere, food, and price. A definite asset to the area!

West Coast is my favorite neighborhood restaurant, hands down! The best craft beer selection around and delicious food with killer daily specials like the loaded bacon meatloaf sandwich in my photos (it was AMAZING!!!) To top it all off, everyone that works there is super friendly and they'll remember you if you become a regular (which you will, once you taste the food 😜). The prime rib special on Fridays is top knotch, and you gotta try the wings on Mondays. There's always a game on the TVs, patio is dog friendly, and did I mention the cookies? Yes, try the cookies!

This place is very tasty! I got the smoked brisket plate with Mac and cheese and beer battered fries. Everything was quality and what I was hoping for! Definitely planning to come back to try more! They're tarantula hill - liquid candy IPA was killer! I included they're amazing tap collection below as well! Could potentially use a change in music (hard rock) but everyone has their own taste so not going to knock them for that! Great, friendly staff!

The food was awesome but unfortunately the experience we had was not. When we arrived our drink order was taken right away. My mom didn't order anything to drink and I did. When the waitress returned with my drink, She set it down and stated "you didn't order a drink so I'll give you a few minutes to decide what you want" then promptly walked away ignoring us as we try to tell her we are ready to order food. After 5 minutes or so she comes back and takes our orders and the food comes out fairly quick. She didn't check on us once during the meal. When we were finished we waited a few minutes then my mom flagged her down to let he know we were ready to pay and she wanted a to go box. After about 10 mins of the waitress walking in and out and helping other customers my mom mentions that she can't remember if she asked for a to go box or just the bill. As the waitress walks by she asks her if she can have a to go box please.

The waitress stopped in her tracks and told my mom "Just because you asked for it doesn't mean it is gonna happen right away!" in a very demeaning voice like my mother was a 3 year old child. My mom has health and memory issues and simply forgot if she asked so asked again. Only to be belittled and treaded poorly in front of a restaurant patio full of people.

This is where I almost lost it. Up to this point we understand she is busy and things take time. We were not upset or rude we were having a great time. My mom was embarrassed and insisted that I let it go and even wanted to tip still. She felt it was her fault because she forgot and that's not right! My mother DID NOT deserve that!

We were seated on the patio...

Hope the owner read my review.

For years, this place has been my go-to for wings. In my opinion, they weren’t just good—they were the best in all of San Diego County. The wings were always perfectly crispy, bursting with flavor, and had just the right amount of spice. Combine that with their excellent beer selection, and it was always a winning combination.

However, on my most recent visit, something was off. My first order of wings didn’t have the same taste or texture I’d come to love, so I asked if I could get a new order, thinking it might just be a one-off mistake. To their credit, the staff handled it with grace, bringing me a new batch without any charge. It was great service, no doubt.

But that’s when they explained they had changed the recipe. Despite the fresh batch and their generous gesture, the wings just weren’t the same. The crispness and bold flavors that made them special were gone. I tried again, hoping for the best, but it was clear the magic had been lost.

Despite their excellent beer selection and top-notch service, I have to admit that the wings were what brought me back again and again. And without those wings, I just don’t see myself returning.

Thank you for all the great meals over the years, but this is where I...

Alright, here's the deal: this is the place that convinced us to move to San Diego. Seriously.

We had come on a scouting mission and had been driving around for two days, looking at neighborhoods. We were frustrated, confused, and beginning to have second thoughts about the whole endeavor. So we stopped for lunch.

The food was great and the waitress was friendly, so I asked where she would recommend living in the San Diego area. Within five minutes, everyone in the place was in on the conversation, telling us about the best places to live, to eat, and to have fun. And of course, everyone disagreed and there were friendly insults and catcalls and we felt completely at home.

After lunch, we did check out some of the recommendations and discovered that it can be a great place to live, as well as to visit.

As for subsequent visits, once The Boss got a sandwich with tough roast beef. The waitress insisted upon her ordering another whole different sandwich and then yelled at the cook for serving the first one.

Yeah, it's that...
