Tacos My Fren — Restaurant in La Porte

This is the BEST Mexican restaurant in all of Indiana and on par with the best places of the west and south sides of Chicago. This is the most authentic place I have eaten at by far, and they will gladly give those seeking ground beef, lettuce, tomato, cheese, or sour cream on their tacos directions to Taco Bell; which I really appreciate the cheekiness of. The owner is somehow even friendlier than you’d expect given the name he chose for his restaurant. He is very dedicated to his restaurant and customers. One time he rode up on his bicycle to assist his worker who only spoke Spanish even though he had to leave once he saw I was satisfied. The most recent time I went, he told me they were out of avocados and I said that’s okay, I’ll just get a horchata; even still he decided to walk over to the store and get some for my guac. This guac is the best I’ve had and absolutely loaded with just the right ratios of cilantro, onion, and tomato. Please visit his new location at 201 Washington St tomorrow. Decent food however don’t plan anything on their schedule or hours. They today not only opened late (who knows when) because I waited fifteen minutes at the store. Then the truck was not at its location or open for least half hour late!!! Absolutely ridiculous!

Then had a friend do a late run for tacos instead and the store was locked five minutes before closing time!!! That’s two times in one day they failed to stay up to par with their customers!!! You missed two opportunities for money and to serve a customer…. That is in no way professional. Make hours stick to them!

Another day I ordered tacos and I asked for green sauce and he looked said there was none and that was it. Should stock things to also please customers if you want...

I had the opportunity to meet the owner at an event at my work today and it was awesome. They stood outside serving everyone at our event for hours and not once did a smile leave their face! What's important though is the tacos! I had steak and chorizo and let me tell you something. These tacos will make you question any other taco you've had. The flavor was on point!
