Had issues with both of my two orders from the last month: A. Ordered a single fried fish taco with one order for delivery, and it came as shrimp. No big deal; it’s one of the very few times Mucho has made an error with my order in the years of enjoying their food, and it’s no biggy...we all make mistakes and it was still delicious, so I didn’t bother to raise a fuss about it. But when a friend ordered delivery tonight and asked for two taco plates with two tacos each, whoever took our order must have misheard the request for one plate to have two fish tacos and another plate to have one veggie taco and one fish taco, because the 1 veg 1 fish plate came as a single veggie taco with fish ADDED. Again, busy Friday night, so biggy. Just a little mistake. So we called Mucho to inquire what could be done, to be met by gentleman who originally took our order.
Now, having worked in customer service, I know the customer is NOT always right, and “food fraud” is a thing. I get it. But with sheer conviction and no apologies, he insisted that we were wrong (hard for me, the friend who ordered, and two additional people who heard us place the order to believe since we all heard our said request crystal clear, but hey, everyone’s the good guy in their own story I suppose) “because it was an odd order, I remember.” He proceeded to ask us what we wanted him to do about it with a certain level of spiciness, before we lost the connection (whether that was because of a connection issue or the associate hung up, remains to be seen).
I know Friday nights probably aren’t a cakewalk for the staff (food service is NOT easy weekend work by any means), but if errors in orders and poor service are what is to be expected from here on out for LaPorte Mucho, I don’t have high hopes for the restaurant that I have known and loved for so many years. I hope for the happiness of tonight’s staff and for Frank’s investment that it was just a bad couple of weeks, but tonight’s experience made Ricochet look like a three Michelin...

Hadn't been there in about 5 months, and I passed by it almost daily now stopped in again two nights ago. Met 2 new employees, at least new to me. Brandi and Jacob. It was the last minute decision to stop, I have not studied the menu and Brandy gave me a quick run through and help me make a quick decision and suggested things based on what I was looking for. Been in retail management for 36 years. I recognize good service. Read my last minute decision much easier than standing there and staring at the menu. This was followed up by a brief visit from Jacob have I found out is also relatively new. Very polite very professional. We also had a long informative conversation. Again great customer service. Never had a bad experience there of course but was still surprised by how friendly and helpful they both were. Think they are great employees!...
Read moreI purchased a quesabirra but ask the cashier could they make it with chicken only instead of with beef because I don’t eat beef. She said yes they can do it that way. As I received my food I noticed beef was in it so I returned it. She said she’ll have them remake it. I get the 2nd order and she says this is chicken only. So I go home to eat it and without checking it because she said it was only chicken so I bit into it and lo and behold there’s beef still in it. As I returned bk to the restaurant the owner addresses the situation with such hostility. Stating that she doesn’t even want to see the beef that I was trying to point out to her. Even stating I shouldn’t order it that way but lady all it would’ve took was to say in the 1st place that they couldn’t make it that way. She has a very nasty attitude.
