Overpriced terrible food. We tasted a little bit and left. First time in my life walking out of a restaurant with barely eaten food. I normally would finish the food out of respect as long as the food quality is not that low. But this time it is almost not edible. We ordered the chicken ban bao, which is microwaved, the bread is rubbery, chicken is so dry. We also ordered the pho soup, which is not fresh and tastes bad. It tastes weirdly different from other pho restaurants (any human with common sense can tell). The noodle is mushy, The beef tendon and slice are so chewy and taste like they just came out of the fridge several minutes ago. The fact that this restaurant gets 4.9 rating for over 800 people just blows my mind. Seeing those local guides giving 5 stars just disgusts me. Misleading customers for quick money. I hope they go to this restaurant every single day. I will not fully trust Google reviews any more. Players like this restaurant is breaking the rating system. I will seriously check low star comments in Google reviews from now on.
Edited on May 27: The owner's response is hilarious. I believe every sentence I wrote makes perfect sense. I visited your restaurant on May 25 and even spoke with your waitress about the microwaved chicken ban bao. She actually agreed and mentioned that other customers had also complained about the microwaved food several days ago (How surprising). I'm quite certain your 4.9 rating is artificially inflated. Your restaurant is also labeled as sponsored on Google Maps. Now, I don't own any restaurants; I work in engineering and have no motivation to deliberately damage your reputation. I'm posting this simply because I am disgusted as a customer.
By the way, not every negative comment is a personal attack against you. You are delusional if you think so many people want to harm you. I saw multiple one-star reviews complaining about the food not being fresh, and you always fire back with anger. You remind me of the restaurants on Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares. Feel free to deny the microwaved bao and frozen pho meat. In fact, I would love to see you maintain is attitude forever if possible. That means you will continue to serve microwaved frozen food and your business will always struggle. Say whatever you want but this comment will always be here whether you like it or not. People will see this and make their...
Read moreFirst time visitor here! I’ve heard many great things about this restaurant in its short time in Laporte. I decided to try it today with my girlfriend and went for the traditional Vietnamese options. Started with the shrimp spring rolls. Very fresh and the peanut sauce that accompanied was sweet and perfectly complimented the fresh ingredients of the spring roll. Many more options available too that aren’t listed on the menu. I then ordered the beef pho and the pork banh mi sandwich. Again, pork is not listed on the menu but this is the best option in my opinion. The food came out very fast and was hot and fresh. The ingredients of the sandwich is an experience I can’t describe other than fresh and everything works together. The freshness of the vegetables mixed with the acidity of the pickled vegetables complimented the pork wonderfully and the bun was perfectly soft on the inside and just the right amount of crunch on the outside. This was also made by the famous “Mama C”, the owners mother. I was told I’m in for a treat by the waiter and I couldn’t agree more. Thank you Mama C! The pho came out with all the usual condiments but they use a sweeter sriracha sauce that is better than the one many of us know. The broth was flavorful and all of the ingredients really worked well to deliver a perfect soup for a chilly day. Last but not least, the staff were polite and very helpful narrow down the choices. There’s also alcohol options available but I did not partake on this trip. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant with the option to dine outside. I am a local and I WILL definitely be both recommending and dining here regularly from this point forward. Highly recommend to anyone wanting a different dining experience with authentic food, the freshest ingredients, and friendly staff. BON...

The food is simply delightful—each dish bursting with flavor and authenticity. I indulged in the Banh Mi, spring rolls, and even tried the Vietnamese coffee, which was amazing, along with a refreshing fruit punch. But the highlight for me was definitely The House Pho; the aroma that filled the air as I entered was captivating, peppery and sweet notes, and that first sip of broth was nothing short of transformative.
The service here is outstanding. The staff were incredibly helpful in guiding me through the menu, showing great patience with my questions, and offering a variety of enticing options. Both the servers and the owner clearly care about making every guest feel valued and appreciated.
