Usually one of our favorite places to eat in our hometown of LaVerne, yesterday's lunch was a total disappointment. Not only have the prices gone sky high, but the portions have gotten much smaller. I ordered a Cheeseburger Tartine which is an open-faced hamburger on a slice of sourdough bread. I asked for it without tomatoes and rare to medium rare. The hamburger came out like a piece of cardboard, with a tomatoe. The price was $14. I could have gotten a better hamburger at Jack in the Box. My friend ordered the chicken fajita wrap. It was soaking in grease and very mushy. It was literally the smallest wrap I've ever seen and it was priced at $17! I think the thing that made me the most upset, was that when I complained to our waitress she did apologize and said she went in and told the owner and the cook. The owner NEVER EVEN ACKNOWLEDGED THE POOR QUALITY OF THE FOOD WE WERE SERVED. He never came to our table, never apologized, nothing. Very unprofessional and thoughtless. He obviously does not care about the satisfaction of his customers or the quality of his food. Very, very dissatisfied. The total bill was over $35 for two very poor meals, no drinks, just water. Will not be returning and not recommending to anyone from here on out. So sad because this used to be a quality restaurant. Don't waste your time or money here, there are many other great restaurants in La Verne from...
Read moreThe food is good. Atmosphere is good. Service I thought was good until I brought my dog here and after a short amount of time she barked at another dog, the manager came to us and condescendingly asked us to quiet our dog. Then a patron yelled at us from across the patio. We proceeded to quiet our dog by placing her in our laps, then a waitress came to us and told us hey have a policy about dogs not being at the table and on the floor only. We complied and placed our dog back on the ground, to which she barked again. The wait staff made us completely uncomfortable. We had not even finished our first drink or entree yet. This establishment claims it is “dog friendly” and even boasts a doggy menu. I asked the waitress why they would market themselves as a dog friendly establishment if they are rude to patrons who have dogs that briefly bark, as most dogs do bark. She proceeded to tell me that “not all dogs bark”. We ended up leaving, meals and drinks unfinished. After being treated so poorly we will not be frequenting this La Verne staple any longer. Very unfortunate but the management and wait staff should learn how to treat their patrons with empathy, respect and understanding. Would give 0...

I am a fan of their Shrimp Tacos and Steak Tacos. Fourth Street has a very tasty Lamb Burger that is just the right size. French fries are an ordered item. They come in a paper lined cone and are perfectly crunchy.
Looking back, and only a year later. The Lam burger cones with a side salad and a dressing in a small ceramic cup. Now. The salad is a "pincher size" of lettuce with a watered-down dressing drizzled on top. I used the "sauce" of a dressing to dip each bite of my burger in so it worked. (*updated September 2023)
Some menu items are hit and miss, though. Their salads sound wonderful on the menu, but when they are in front of you, they seem to be missing something. Just not "enough" to make them a meal.
The Harvest Salad, is another favorite. Add Chicken for protein and make more of a meal. In fact, protein can be added to any Salas. (*updated September 2023).
Today, we enjoyed the Baked Brie with Blueberries appetizer. It's as good as it looks!
Also refreshing are the Champagne and...
