My name is Sahara donât get me wrong the food is really good but the owner KELLY is terrible she doesnât actually care about nobody she only helps people out to make herself look good and to just throw it in their face. She donât got nobody on payroll I found out I was pregnant on 10-30-24 and I worked on the 1st I believe I told her the day I came in and she kept on acting like she had to use the bathroom knowing that Iâm in my first trimester and imma be hella sick and itâs like if I threw up in one of her trash cans because she plays weird childish games she would have went off on me or sent me home and then I came in one day to discuss the schedule with her and she always has to say â itâs nothing personalâ â itâs just businessâ when it really isnât after we discussed the schedule and stuff I used the bathroom and came out and mind you one of the things she said also was â oh I donât like drama and all that messy stuffâ but when I came out the bathroom she was asking me if I was talking about her bad breath?! I was like what I thought you didnât want drama and the messy stuff and then on top of that she keeps on pointing out how old she is and donât got time to care about what other people think but she worried about me talking about her bad breath which is crazy. But the next day she told me not to come in basically come in until further notice for the âprecautions â or whatever excuse she be using and to tell me I canât come in to work because I didnât tell her right away I guess.. mind you I found out 2 day prior before working that day. If anyone of you is reading this and go in to ikonic and Kelly sees this review because itâs obviously from me she is gonna make look and sound like I am a terrible worker and couldnât rely on me and make me look like the really bad guy. I promise you I loved working there and serving real good food but the discrimination after I told her I was pregnant was the last straw. DONT WORK HERE PLEASE itâs a waste of time she will miss treat you and stir up drama even tho she the main one causing it she gone blame it all on you. She actually wants to see people be down...
Read moreIâm really sad to say that my husband and I were disappointed in the food. The chicken wings are abnormally large, like the kind thatâs pumped full of hormones that you would find for cheap at Walmart. They also tasted old to me. All their wings are breaded. There werenât any options for non-breaded chicken wings. As far as the seasoning, the lemon pepper was disappointing. There wasnât much on the wings. I will say the garlic Parmesan sauce was pretty good. The waddles were pretty good we enjoyed those, but I think theyâre frying in old oil, it had that taste. I hope they have better options with the chicken wings and hopefully purchase chicken wings that are a little more natural. It feels weird to complain about big portions but you can tell it was cheap chicken that is incredibly modified. Service was great, no complaints there.
F/U: Hello, I see that youâve responded. I understand itâs natural for an owner to be protective of their business but defensiveness shuts down dialogue and creates a hostile impression. Which seems to be common with other reviews Iâve been noting. This review reflected my genuine truthful experience as a customer on both what I enjoyed and what I didnât. The wings I received did not reflect that quality. An appropriate response wouldâve been: âIâm sorry our wings didnât meet your expectationsâhereâs how we source them and what weâre doing to improve,â. Your response speaks to your character and your success as a business owner. An emotionally charged response like yours is inappropriate. Youâre a confrontational person judging by your previous responses to people. Feedback is part of running a business and sometimes it will be critical. My feedback came from a place of honesty and not negativity. Naturally occurring wings are never that size. The U.S. is known to genetically modify meats and poultry to increase sizes. Please look into your sourcing partners. I wish...
Read moreI live in Des Moines WA and was down in the Lacey/ Olympia area for work. I was going to go to Firehouse Subs⌠and I probably should have. The service was very nice, the lady that took my order was very helpful, as it was my first time visiting. I ordered a 9 piece garlic/parm and lemon pepper honey w/ wavy fries and their brown butter biscuit. The server informed me that the wings take 14 minutes to cook. I like my chicken fried hard, so I asked for them to be cooked a few minutes longer, and they obliged. I was also told that the fries had a special seasoning on them. So I was super excited when I received my meal. There is no seating, so everything is to go. I went to my car and started eating. There was no ranch in with my order, I went back in to get some, they gave it to me for free but it is usual $0.75 for a Kens Ranch cup (Red Flag, because they should definitely have a house ranch). So I dig in, the biscuit heavily resembled the biscuits at KFC, and those are not homemade. I also donât know what the brown butter was supposed to do for the biscuit, I expected it to be sweet. My fries didnât taste like there was a special seasoning on them, and the chicken wasnât good⌠at all. The chicken was very hot, temperature wise and I had to wait until I got home to eat them. And they were still a miss. Out side of the flavors added to the chicken, the chicken wasnât seasoned well, nor were the flavors that great. The lemon pepper honey did not taste good at all, it needed some spice or something because it just tasted like sweet chicken with dollar tree lemon pepper seasoning. The garlic/Parmesan was no better. This whole experience was a...
