This is a amazing family owned shop. We went out of our way to have lunch there during the Laconia bike week. The facility is immaculate. Cleanest bathroom anywhere! That’s a rarity even with all the Covid worries. The staff is so friendly and nice. We ate our sandwich outside, (the House Special roast beef sandwich). It was delicious. We were there when they closed at 3 and they encouraged us to relax, enjoy our soda and watching the bikes go by. As we left about 3:15, we got talking to a couple that came in on their motorcycle, not realizing they closed at 3. We then left and began our trip back to Lincoln (1 hour away). Just as we got to Lincoln, I realized I didn’t have my purse. We drove back, hoping it was still tucked in the corner near the table we were at outside. I felt it might be because the place was closed and as far As I knew all the employees were gone, so it wasn’t like we would get there and it would be locked inside. When we arrived one of the owners was outside doing the landscaping. My purse wasn’t at the table. He called his wife and sure enough, they had it locked inside with my name and where I had sat. Totally worth the trip on both counts. It’s nice to know there are still honest, hard working folk out there. Highly recommend this shop. It will be a regular stop for us when we come back to new Hampshire, which is more than...
Read moreThe staff is excellent, very warm and friendly. I had high hopes for their sandwiches, but was left quite disappointed. The roast beef it’s self was very bland. I ordered it hot with Mayo and American cheese, and I could not tell there was cheese on it. I also asked for peppers and onions and they told me they were raw only, so I declined, but when I got back home with my sandwich I looked on the website and it clearly states that they have sautéed peppers onions and mushrooms, so that was disappointing. I had to add more mayonnaise and salt and pepper to give it any sort of flavor, it was edible just disappointing. I would certainly expect more from a place with roast beef in their name. Maybe it is a NH thing, in VT when a place advertises good roast beef, it’s made in house, not generic deli roast beef. The pickle was the best part. Oh and $15 for large that I would have...
Read moreMy goodness what an amazing experience! I called up on a Saturday morning and was looking to order 10 subs for our group of friends before we packed up the coolers to head out on the boat to Braun Bay.
Whoever took my order went through every sub and made sure everything was made to our liking and even offered some creative suggestions.
Jon and the folks running the shop must know that there’s nothing worse than pulling a soggy sub out of the cooler so they asked if we were heading out on the boat and offered to seal the subs individually in ziplock bags.
Fast forward a few hours and we learned that Jon’s is more than just great customer service as the subs were top notch and came with a few delicious pickles. I highly recommend you stop here if you’re looking for subs...
