Fat Albert's Fried Chicken — Restaurant in Lafayette

I haven't been there since 2015 I live in Houston but I was working offshore I stop by everytime I come to eat so.e chicken and beans and rice my favorite 😍 but last night I was in Louisiana 6/15/24 after leaving casino I wanted some chicken I was with some of my friends and mom I told them I haven't been there in a long time actually I didn't know if it was still in business I drove by and sure enough they were ope but kinda getting ready to close 😅 she took my order 20 pieces of chicken they cook it and it was so delicious 😋 😅 my mom said we have to come way out here to get some good chicken 😆 we all ate a piece in parking lot before we got back on road I to go back in and tell her everyone love the chicken 🐔 I will be coming back I don't know when but I'll be back it wasn't the original owners but she said she on it 4yrs I said wow. It's still good 5 stars 🌟 ...she was so nice to me and actually had me laughing 😃 keep up the good work keep cooking that chicken ill be back ,,,good chicken...

We called in an order for 30 pieces of all dark meat on 5/11/13. We ended up having a last minute get together with family, so we thought this would be our best option to quickly feed a bunch of people! I called the order in at 6:19 and was told it would take 20 minutes. I arrived at Fat Albert s about 20 minutes later. Sadly we didn't get our food until almost 7 pm. They were NOT friendly, never said they were sorry that we had to wait so long. We got back with the food to realize the chicken had been double fried & then while we were eating what appeared to be a piece of glass was in one of our adult guest chicken. It was actually a really thick piece of rubber/plastic. Im not sure where it actually came from although when I called FAT ALBERT'S, they flat out called me a liar and was very ugly on the phone. I have calls into the board of health. This is very dangerous! What else is in that grease? How much more of the substance that we found in our chicken is floating around in...

I'm just getting to my review. Anyway, I went to Fat Alberts a few months back. I ordered a box of chicken and the sides. However, once I pulled out a piece of chicken I realized it was cold. It was also lacking 'something' in the taste. I brought it back and they didn't want to give me my money back. I asked for the manager and the lady whispered, "It's not owned by the same people and they don't want to give you your money back. I asked were the owners there? She went and got an Asian lady.

For the life of me, I just don't understand people who want to buy well established businesses that are well established based on the quality and different taste of their food. Then, they change it to cheap non edible food and believe it's "take what you get!" I hope like me, once everyone realizes Fat Alberts is now an impostor, they'll make sure these people pay the ultimate price for buying the best chicken place in town and substituting with Asian brand...
